OK folks you know the drill, and if you dont pay attention:

We are a bunch of lovely ladies all shapes and size, here for chat, and moral support.

Some of it is healthy eating chat. WW, LL, food focus, south beach. Whatever ever the route, whatever the goal its all here.

Most of the time its just moral support and general chat... So dive in, post as much as you are able and have some fun...

I like Brum very much, but don't know Worcestershire. I went out with a boy from Lichfield for a couple of years at uni, and so spent every other weekend of the summer hols going into and out of New Street station.

DreamsInBinary · 19/02/2010 23:26

What was your theory, DEM? Go on! Post it now!

DreamsInBinary · 19/02/2010 23:28

Is anyone else's 'Active' button not working?

doubleinstructions · 19/02/2010 23:29

my active keeps blanking

Lizzylou · 19/02/2010 23:29

Lichfield is nice, other side of Brum though.

Yes, Dem, spill!!!!

I think I am soooo green, I can certainly find out stuff. Where I live, everyone knows everyone (excepting new houses where I live).

YanknCock · 19/02/2010 23:29

Lizzy, it's not that I think it's a bad accent, just prefer my DH's

DreamsInBinary · 19/02/2010 23:35

Hmm, I think there must have been something dodgy in the one and a half bottle of wine I've had tonight.

So far I've though, "hmm, maybe"
to

Jimmy Carr
Rhod Gilbert
Sean Lock
Colin Farrell
Jay-Z

Time for bed, methinks.

BitOfFun · 19/02/2010 23:38

The Active Convos blank is a blip tonight- if you scroll down (a lot), they do appear eventually.

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/02/2010 00:04

i refuse to post my theory as it is highly unlikely to be correct and i dont want to be slinging mud falsely. will just wait and see if it is the same. Suspect not.

VinegarTits · 20/02/2010 00:49

whats did i miss tonight/?

BitOfFun · 20/02/2010 01:05

Oh loads

Dizzymare confirmed as a troll.

And, er, my story about Jason Manford...

wastingaway · 20/02/2010 01:31

What the hell am I doing up this late?!
I always do this when DH is away for the night. It's not as if DS is going to let me have a lie-in just because I've been soaking my feet and watching crap tv.

I am a 1/4 Welsh.

I haven't shagged anyone who is especially famous yet.

And I retract my about watching EastEnders Live, as it's related to my area of academic study.

Vin, are you bedraggled for any exciting reason?

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/02/2010 03:30

Think you might have to wait until tomo for an answer to that wasting.

Ds is still up and down. Going to be tired tomorrow, but at least have an easy day planned.

Okay, just caught up, yeah, twas one with v little doubt anyway.

This is why I do not talk to or engage with posts/posters who are just 'woe is me'. If you've been around for a bit and we've talked about other stuff then I will care, but if you turn up and immediately need lots of support or post stuff that is likely to make me cry if I dwell on it then why would I choose to do that? There are people every day going thorugh all sorts of shit, I don't seek them out unless I already "know" them.

TrillianAstra · 20/02/2010 04:17

I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's gray and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love

Actually it's Saturday now. Never mind

Georgimama · 20/02/2010 06:59

Hello lovelies - Trills - late night you dirty stop out type.

To scroll way back to Shiney's teacher dilemma, totally do it. Chris Evans had one of his primary school teachers on the show a couple of weeks ago, you could tell the teacher was totally touched and loved it.

I had a history teacher so universally considered marvellous by every single girl he has ever taught that there is a FB group devoted to him ("The Mr Dennis Appreciation Society" I believe it's called). What's really lovely is that is isn't all nostalgia ladened memories from old duffers like me - current pupils started it.

I'm down another pound this morning so 16 so far - need to step this up as going to Vegas in 4 weeks and I want that frock to fit!

MitsubishiWarrioress · 20/02/2010 07:06

Go georgia!

Also smiled at Trills.....I can picture the scene in my head....

Off to Manchester... being a big brave girl . So good company, coffee, cake and a cultural fix ahead.

Have a good day all and if you are illing or stressed I hope something brightens your day..Five I hope your birthday wasn't marred by IL stress.

bellavita · 20/02/2010 07:31

Hello I am on the train trying to get used to mning on dh's iPod

bellavita · 20/02/2010 07:37

We are in the quiet carriage with loads of footie supporters!!

NormaSknockers · 20/02/2010 07:57

Sounds like it'll be an interesting trip Bella!

Morning

DH on nights this weekend so once me & the DC are dressed & fed we'll be heading out to give him peace in which to sleep. Thinking we'll head to MILs & then into the town only down side is I can't find my hair straightners so I look like I've been electrocuted

hellsbelles · 20/02/2010 08:18

I'm fecking freezing and assuming the mice have run out of the house to get some warmth . Sazz I don't think I'm at your house!

DS is now poorly as well. It's just one of those weeks.

Dizzy - I have to admit that it all felt a bit wrong almost straight away. In a way I'm glad she was a troll as for it to be real would have been horrid.

Shiney - your teacher is going to be so so happy to get the letter. Can't keep up with all teh advice (so this has probably already been said) but key thing would be (and the thing to get the tear ducts flowing ) to tell him how he inspired you - perhaps particular things he taught/talked about - and how they contributed to your success/achievements.

Birth stories....DS1 - induced at 35.5 weeks so I insisted on total pain relief (DH wasn't there due to having chicken pox so I just wanted it over and done with ).

DD at 38 weeks, planned on natural labour but ended up insisting on pain relief yet again with my mothers words ringing in my ears 'darling - there are no awards for pain - take whatever they offer ' and how right she is.

But all relatively straight forward. Though I was very lucky (in some ways) that DS was a bit early....as by his actual due date his head was huge!

MrsWobbleTheWaitress · 20/02/2010 08:20

Morning ladies

It's just taken me half an hour to catch up

I remember the DM shit. Glad she's been properly outed and well done on the Redlights thing, shiney.

Also, definitely write to your teacher. Very good idea! You've inspired me to look up my favourite teacher at school - a brilliant man.

Re births - I've had four natural home births. DD2's, on paper, was wonderful, but actually I continue to feel very crap about it. It wasn't until I read 'Stand And Deliver' that I realised it was because I had a midwife who wouldn't let me be in control of it - won't go into details. What I am trying to say is that you should all read that book, as should any pregnant mum! It explains how most (although I'm sure not all) women who feel negative feelings about their births, usually do so because of the lack of control. Whereas women who have guilt-free C/S often are guilt-free because they've been the one ultimately making the decision rather than it being taken out of their hands by unsympathetic, paternatlistic health care professionals.

I painted the whole room the darker colour and it looks fantastic - just how I wanted it. I'm really pleased

DidEinsteinsMum · 20/02/2010 08:54

Glad you are pleased with it wobble. Right checked email, check MN, yelled at ds, just hotmail and facebook before i get up and leave for town. Have a good one!

OP posts:
doubleinstructions · 20/02/2010 09:22

Wobble glad the colour came out as you wanted, you have motivated me to get cracking on my kitchen, bought the paint 6 months ago and its just been sitting there glaring at me.
Im jealous of all the home births, was never brave enough to do it.
