ive been in bed watching Avatar

have a massive headache and sore throat though, haven't eaten anything

why do i keep getting ill

hellsbelles · 16/02/2010 13:55

wasting - cheeky fecker!

Vinnie - because you probably are not getting fully over each bug so your immunity is low...and you aren't taking your vitamins

How do you manage to get Avatar at home???

VinegarTits · 16/02/2010 13:56

searched google for movie streaming and found a copy, really good picture too

VinegarTits · 16/02/2010 13:58

although i can imagine it would be amazing on the cinema, but no chance o me ever getting time to go and see it there

Alicetheinvisible · 16/02/2010 14:00

DEM - i am invisible because i am not really here

You are right that it is probably cheap down fen way Best time to go to our market is about 2.30pm as huge trays of stuff going for £1.

hellsbelles · 16/02/2010 14:02

thanks Vinnie - will try. I'm the same about the cinema - I can't justify the cost of a babysitter when I know the video will come out soon enough.

VinegarTits · 16/02/2010 14:04

link here hells

VinegarTits · 16/02/2010 14:05

i watched no 5, vidreel copy

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 14:07

Our market is really good. Because everything else about Doncaster is laughable/pitiable/horrifying, I forget that not everyone has a lovely market.

MyCatIsABastard · 16/02/2010 14:11

Dropped DS off at nursery and he cried when I left . But I phoned 30 mins later and he was playing . Just hope he makes it all afternoon now.

I know that he needs to go as we have to get work done, but I really wish it didn't have to happen. Damn a country that makes it almost impossible for one parent to stay at home, what with the cost of living and buying houses!

And what joy do I have to look forward to now - IRONING! GAH!

MyCatIsABastard · 16/02/2010 14:14

Vinny sorry you're feeling poorly. Lots of vitamin C if you can get it down you.

VinegarTits · 16/02/2010 14:18

glad he is settled mycat, but i know it is hard having to leave them, i wish i didnt have to go to work

i picked the finnster up from nursery yesterday and he had a huge scratch right down one side of his face, a deep scratch and looks like it just missed his eye

there is a boy there who keeps hitting him, i have complained about this boy before so i was furious to see that he has done that to his little face, i was so i couldnt speak, just picked him up and walked out

MyCatIsABastard · 16/02/2010 14:19

Hey Vin, I've never watched a movie online. What do you do? Click 'download movie'?

MyCatIsABastard · 16/02/2010 14:20

Oh vin that's not good. Poor little chap. Can you put an official complaint in to the manager or something?

Lizzylou · 16/02/2010 14:23

Oh MyCat, it is hard to leave them at first, but I bet he has fun.

Vinny, your poor Finn! DS1 has a boy in his class who seems to just home in on him all the time. One week he came home with a massive gash on his face where his glasses had been pushed into his flesh, then a bruised hand, then a cut and bruise on his forehead. I know DS1 can be bositerous but I have seen how this boy is with him. I spoke to the teacher (and also to the boy when I caught him rugby tacking DS1 to the floor after football practice), it seems to have stopped.
DH said at football the other week he was talking to the bloke who coaches the school team and he said that this lad was like it with a lot of the boys but that DS1 had tackled him really hard last game and the boy had collapsed crying, then all the other boys cheered. Which is not nice and we had words about not retaliating/not being too rough.
Is it wrong though that I was secretly proud (would never have let on to DS1) ?

VinegarTits · 16/02/2010 14:25

manager is on holiday this week so will speak to her next week, she already knows i am not happy about this boy, i told them this morning that he wont be going back there if it happens again

i dont bother to download, just click on one of the links and watch online

Lizzylou · 16/02/2010 14:25

Sorry, that was a long rambling post.
I just can't stand bullies, this lad is the sort that at the start of parties will say to the others "No-one play with so and so" and then they don't because they are scared of him.

If I'd have heard that I would have said something, another Mom (the boy being ignored) told me about it on a night out.

MyCatIsABastard · 16/02/2010 14:26

He's been slowly settling in for a month now and is getting there, it's just heartbreaking really.

Well done to your DS Lizzy. I'd have been secretly proud too. Obviously you had to talk to him about not doing that to the boy, but then the boy has also learnt a valuable lesson in that being a little shit isn't going to make you any friends and it will all come back on you at some point (karma ).

VinegarTits · 16/02/2010 14:30

aww lizzy poor ds, i would have been secretly proud too

i have to bite my tongue with ds2 he is only 3 and does understand that hitting is wrong and he would never hit this boy back, but deep down i just want to tell him to wallop him one, but i cant, he is a gentle little soul and wouldnt want him to change

MyCatIsABastard · 16/02/2010 14:34

Christ on a bike, are you lot shipping your sodding washing here or something? I swear I have washed enough clothes for an entire community not a family of 4.

Lizzylou · 16/02/2010 14:35

NO Vinny, it is good that he is sensitive, DS1 has always been like that, though has toughened up a bit at school it would seem.

wastingaway · 16/02/2010 14:36

Poor Finn.
Bullying is horrid.
I think I'd be secretly proud too Lizzy.

VinegarTits · 16/02/2010 14:51

same here mycat, i have a pile of washing the size of the Himalayas and there's only 3 of us

now i am sneezing like a loon, another bloody cold as well as a sore throat, aibu i am pleased to have no appetite though

drinking honey with hot water, which i am quite enjoying though

YanknCock · 16/02/2010 15:12

urghhhhh....I think VT gave me her lurgy.

Can't concentrate enough to digest anything I am reading. Scratchy throat, runny nose, feeling very tired.

Might have a little kip on the sofa as DS is snoozing in his car seat (bad mummy)

MyCatIsABastard · 16/02/2010 15:13

Vinny I once killed a cold dead with my homemade lemsip... hot water, lemon juice, paracetomol and er.... a very large shot of vodka!

I'd just arrived on holiday in Lanzarote and had a terrible cold and decided to make my own remedy. It worked a treat (either that or I was too pissed to care).
