Good luck for tomorrow MyCat - knock 'em dead!

Quick question - last night I had accumulated 6 points over the course of the week. Now usually they get carried across to the next day but they wipe them at the start of each new week (which is today for me) do you think it would be ok me to use those points today or is it better to just forget about them?

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 03/02/2010 11:14

Thanks Trills. Shouldn't think I'll get it but it's worth a try.

I quite fancy the graze box but know that mi ne would be more of a 'ram it all in at once' box . Not good for the diet.

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 03/02/2010 11:16

Personally I would use them today, or at least some of them. That's how I do it anyway. I reckon one day wont hurt. Or you could use half of them maybe?

YanknCock · 03/02/2010 11:19

I have resorted to putting DS in front of Cbeebies. So much for no TV until he is 2. Why does this child never sleep?!? He fell asleep feeding, so tried to put him in his cot for a nap, and he woke instantly, shrieking in rage. Now wide awake and wanting to play.

I'm sure I have a million things to do but can't think what any of them are.

MyCat, I know what you mean. Wasn't so long ago DS was in bed at 8:30 and slept till 6:30. Then I could cope with his non-napping ways.

NormaSknockers · 03/02/2010 11:23

MyCat that's what I thought too, maybe use 3 then just forget about the other 3?

Yank don't feel bad, nothing wrong with a bit of Cbeebies we all need a break form time to time!

Morning all

FB - I think you need to get you sorted. I expect you know of FAQ (mnetter, now by a different name) She started the slatterns thread about 18m ago simply because she was depressed and struggling. Having somewhere to list the very basic things everyday (get up, get children up, have breakfast etc) and then being able to to go back and put a nice big DONE next to them helped her realise that even on the very worst days she had achieved something. It is also one of the reasons i am determined to keep my horses however much work they are and how much they cost, once i have been out to do them i am in a much better mood.

Good luck Mycat

Much better today, just feel a bit morning sickiness. Have just battled with my mad horses to put them out in the field (lovely to watch them having a good gallop) and then treated myself to a cake from Waitrose. I may even have a sort out of a load of clothes to go in the loft

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 03/02/2010 11:29

Norma - yes, that's what I would do.

Yank - DS does at least nap, just likes to have many many many cuddles with mummy at times when mummy is not in cuddle mode (i.e. bloody fast asleep!). DD fought all forms of sleep til she was about 16mths old. Nearly killed me. She's fine now apart from the fight getting her up to bed! But to be fair, she's usually asleep by 8pm and sleeps all night.

He's woken up from his nap now so I'll be signing off for the day. Need to try and make myself look and sound like someone you might want to trust your companies marketing with .

NormaSknockers · 03/02/2010 11:41

I shall do that then. I can stop feeling guilty about my 8 point bacon sarnie now

Have a good MyCat, bet you'll look fab!

Alice glad you're feeling a bit better & well done for getting out to the horses I can barely convince to walk the dog most days DH usually takes him

OP posts:
YanknCock · 03/02/2010 11:46

oooh.....bacon sarnie....

that sounds much more appetising than leftover lentil sludge. Maybe if I added bacon to the sludge? It can't get any more disgusting, that's for sure.

Good luck MyCat, hope all goes well tomorrow.

Alice, glad you are feeling better.

NormaSknockers · 03/02/2010 11:53

I actually feel a bit sick after eating it, think it was a bit to heavy!

wastingaway · 03/02/2010 11:58

Good morning.

DS woke me up coughing at 5am and had been sick.
If someone could explain the fairness upon me his mother of him developing an almost unheard of vomiting thing the very night after I've fed him a large handful of blueberries then please do.
I went into supermum mode, bathed him and got him back to sleep by 6, by which time I ws almost on my knees having not gone to bed til 1. I am not used to getting up in the night anymore.

Yank, Cbeebies is educational.

Awesome weight loss Norma.

FB, agree with focusing on healthy eating. I seem to remember Mitts had a lot of info on food to help with depression?
And Alice is spot on re: getting sorted. You'd be very welcome on the slatterns list-making thread. It's helped me no end.

Mycat, sounds like you need a shot in the arm! (mmmm.... Proplus!)

TrillianAstra · 03/02/2010 12:09

Norma - is this WW points? I don't see any logical reason why they should disappear just because it's a new arbitrary week.

I've just eaten a banana.

Sorry wasting but I have to at blue-berry vomit. Was it all blue?

Alicetheinvisible · 03/02/2010 12:13

fuck proplus, you need to mainline caffiene

wastingaway · 03/02/2010 12:26

Trills, it was all purpley and everywhere!

iggi999 · 03/02/2010 12:35

Have never heard you swear before Alice!

A thought: do you think we were all so confused before they gave us a sign to use?

hellsbelles · 03/02/2010 12:55

urghhh - can't catch up!

Flam - very interesting that Cat suggested CBT as that is exactly what DH was just advised to do by our Dr (along with ADs) this very morning. I've read up a bit on it now and it sounds very impressive. I too like the idea that it has a set time period and so you feel like you can work towards the end goal. So sorry though that you are going through this - my DM has for years (and now DH has hit a rough patch). My DM was always very anti AD's and went through many different types before she found one that really suited her. Can you not bear to try some others?

Lizzy - I'm suffering with a snorer too at them moment. I'm irrationally cross with DH today as I got no sleep at all...thanks to his incessant snoring last night. I really can see why people end up in separate rooms sometimes - and I always used to think that was really sad!

hellsbelles · 03/02/2010 12:55

wasting - (meant as slightly urghh emotion NOT envy) at the blueberry sick!

Alicetheinvisible · 03/02/2010 13:15

Iggi - i love the word Fuck, just so fitting in so many situations

traceybath · 03/02/2010 13:40

Afternoon ladies.

Blimey I had no internet last night so have just spent a long time catching up.

Norma - so pleased all went well yesterday and also on your loss.

Mycat - good luck with interview.

Flamingo - well done on last night. My DH works very long hours and it is hard work getting all dc's bathed and to bed especially as DS2 has just gone into a proper bed so can get out.

Well weighed myself this morning and am actually 0.75lbs under my original goal weight! So pleased with that and actually thought I did look ok today but now have to work very hard to maintain it and maybe lose just one final pound .

Shiney - are you back on track?

at Georgi - I do actually know someone though who was captured and held hostage by the Nigerians. He works on an oil rig.

Blimey you lot can talk and I have forgotten wo said what, so > > and MyCat - yes, good luck for tomorrow.

Shiney, how have you done today?

I took my toast to work with me today - ww bread with marmite on. Had a banana and some blueberries mid-morning and then a meal made out of a good food mag which was 3.5 points. We are having meatballs and fresh pasta for tea.

Some bastard has gone and scraped all down the side of DH's new car this morning. He had a dentist appointment. When he came out he thought his car looked rather dirty down the passenger side and when he has gone to inspect it - it is scraped all the way along. So now we have the hassle of trying to get it into the Seat body shop in the half term so he can use mine for work. It also means that we will have to fork out for the repairs. Whichever way we do it - insurance or pay ourselves we are going to lose out.

wastingaway · 03/02/2010 14:36

Bella, what a pain.

Tracey, that's awesome, well done!

Sazz, I'm sure I've read of art projects where the artist ingests food of specific colours in order to paint with it when it comes back out.

Lizzy, I do like a dance. In fact, I have a Boogie Beebies DVD that we put on occasionally, so DS can go as I dance about like a dinosaur etc.

Have had fish fingers, chips and Thomas pasta shapes.

I feel we should go out for a walk, but I feel crap and it would involve finding some alternate trousers.

YanknCock · 03/02/2010 14:48

wasting, yerrgghhhhh for blueberry vom

bella, how rotten re: the car

hells, I'm another with a chainsaw-sounding DH. Got DS back in to his cot last night, only to have DH back in bed with me snoring away.

Alice, I am also a fan of the word Fuck. So many uses, it's very versatile. Just this morning, DH was chuckling as I shouted 'Fucking....Fuck!!' as I was tripping over all the DIY stuff in the spare room.

tracey, yay for getting to your goal weight!

Sazz, I redeemed the lentil sludge with 3 slices of bacon and a tablespoon of light philly soft cheese. It probably looked worse, but tasted more....interesting.

Hope you aren't coming down with anything. That's the worst thing about offices, everything gets passed around so easily!

I have started pointing again today, but not weighing in this week (normally do Monday). Hope to just get back to where I was last monday and limit damage of this past week and a half. 14 points left today.

jaquelinehyde · 03/02/2010 15:06

Hi ladies

Thank you all so much for my happy birthday messages on here, facebook and on the elfster card. I had a really busy day, but it was lovely.

I'm back in the Uni library not but have got nothing done despite being here for 2 hours I'm just a bit but will get off here and vow to get something on paper.

My new hair pics will be up very soon, sorry for the delay I just haven't stopped yet. I will let you know as soon as I've done it!

My Mum called me just before I left for Uni to tell me that my Grandpa's death is imminent, it's an hour by hour thing, I cried lots so much so that DP thought he had actually died, I think it just hit home.

However, this was not my Mum's only news...she announced that she has joined MN [hiding] I'm going to do my best to find out who she is but I really do not want her knowing me so I may be a little criptic at times or announce personal stuff on FB. I love my Mum dearly but this is my home from home and I don't want to share it, not after 5 years of having it to myself.

bellavita · 03/02/2010 15:15

I totally agree with you jaq over your mum (my dad asked if he could be my friend on facebook and I just said errr no. It would like being 12 again and living at home with your parents knowing your every move.

Looking forward to the pics.

about your grandad.

at Yank - the F word being so versatile
