iggi -- any input you want to give on my essay will be warmly recieved.

Word count to date -- 13

Off for lunch now, my eyes hurt from reading oodles of crap on Victorian fiction, only to realise that the Victorian era didn't start until the mid 19th Century so it only applies to half my essay

Is the other thread still running, I though we had agreed to use this one?

MyCatIsABiggerBastardThanYours · 29/01/2010 12:43

O.M.G I've got an interview! First time I've had to interview for years! Next Thursday. I'm already panicing. It's for a Snr Marketing Manager, maternity cover (I don't want permanent), in Cheltenham. If I get it it means DH can leave his work and concentrate on setting up his business.

Thanks for the congrats ladies. I'm off to town now with DH and DC on the bus (DD really wanted to have a go on the bus). WIsh me luck, it is bound to be traumatic!

FlamingoBingo · 29/01/2010 12:45

Oh wow, MyCat! How exciting! Things sound like they're really good for you right now . Which town are you off to?

Shit - I think I'm falling in love with Zac Efron

jaquelinehyde · 29/01/2010 12:46

That's excellent news MyCat, you must hurry back from town so we can discuss what you shall wear to the interview.

iggi999 · 29/01/2010 12:53

Send us title Jac? Or is it further back in thread?
Is Zac Efron underage? I feel this has to be asked.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 29/01/2010 12:59

MyCat, fantastic news. What does your DH want to do?

FlamingoBingo · 29/01/2010 13:02

Eek - I don't know iggi! I hope not!

hellsbelles · 29/01/2010 13:04

cat - that's so fab. Well done.

Lizzy - you may indeed say that about DIB but can you tell us why?

Jaq - get back to your essay - I've never seen you post so much

FlamingoBingo · 29/01/2010 13:04

Phew! He's only 7 years younger than me!

Is it appropriate to drool when watching films with your children?

FlamingoBingo · 29/01/2010 13:06

How are you Iggi?

hellsbelles · 29/01/2010 13:07

oh and DH got a saucy email sent in error! I'm 99% sure it wasn't meant for him as 2 seconds later the lady sent another email saying OMG - please don't read that it was meant for the address above yours

iggi999 · 29/01/2010 13:09

Ok, Flamingo, thank you. Well not ok really but not jumping off roof or anything at moment. Tired of being on my own, still not wanting to see anyone. Work again on Monday.

Lizzylou · 29/01/2010 13:10

OOh Mycat, it's all happening for you at teh moment, good luck, knock em dead!

Hels, DIB sent me a bracelet chain for the HOt Diamonds bead she sent for my Secret Santa. It was just lovely having a parcel to open and she had sent a lovely little card too.
Made me smile and feel nice

Off to DS2's swim lesson now......really could do with a nap.

FlamingoBingo · 29/01/2010 13:12

Iggi. Aren't there any of us near you who could pop in to give you hugs and biscuits fruit and veg?

iggi999 · 29/01/2010 13:22

Thank you x2. It has been comforting this week to read wee messages from people (who I've never met!) thinking of me. You are truly lovely bunch of people.
Seeing new people is like taking plaster off, at least with DP we both know where we are.
BUT I am here for talk of cock and pointless gloves, not to depress anyone!

FlamingoBingo · 29/01/2010 13:28

Ok - if you're hear for distraction we'd better get on with distraction!

Vinny - forgot to say what an utter shit your exp is. Twat!

I just sent a text to one of the 'friends' from yesterday. She was inviting me to soft play. I had to stop myself saying 'um...I don't think I really want to spend my afternoon feeling unwelcome again, thanks very much'!

iggi999 · 29/01/2010 13:32

Maybe they don't like you because you are too thin now

hellsbelles · 29/01/2010 13:32

oh Iggi - but I guess you are right - we are good at distraction....

Now do you all think including a mug of 'hot chocolate' in a saucy email makes it all a bit homey

Lizzy - how lovely...she is a real sweetheart.

iggi999 · 29/01/2010 13:38

I have my own depressing thread over in the appropriate place!
Don't know about hot choc, I would never have thought "tampon" could be used in saucy phonecall but it was.. other people's sex lives, always unfathomable.

traceybath · 29/01/2010 13:41

Iggi - do you feel ok to go back to work?

Sazzles - well done on mice cull. Lovely Alan from the council has been this morning to put lots of lovely poison and traps down. I'm such a wuss that I leave it all to him and DH.

Well another quarter of a pound down but will probably gain a pound over the weekend but am feeling pretty good weight wise - which I haven't felt for a long time.

However means I just keep buying clothes as Hells will testify from the shopping thread in S&B.

Have found a lovely house to buy - of course its just a little over budget. Well I actually don't even know what our budget is - all complicated as DH has own company so mortgages a little harder to get. Guess we'll need to talk to someone soon.

HF - thats a very good loss - I do find having things like weddings to slim for really helps.

My mum is coming later and haven't seen her since before christmas - she will undoubtedly tell me I look drawn as have lost weight.

Right, lasagne made and now need to hoover for second time today and change some nappies. Joy.

VinegarTits · 29/01/2010 13:43

bizarre weather round my parts

Just left work where it was lovely and sunny, got home to a temperature drop of 5 degrees and Snow!

And now (10 mins later) the snow has stopped and the sun has come out

Is someone messing with the big weather button??

TrillianAstra · 29/01/2010 13:47

Good luck with the interview MyCat (I'm sure there are important things to say to other people but my brain really isn't focussing at the moment)

I had coffee with Alice earlier. Actually I had smoothie, do I get a prize for resisitng the cream-covered chocolatey drinks? And I met her little girl who is very cute. Still not broody though. Think I would get too tired. All of you who have (or at one point had) 2-year olds are very impressively patient.

iggi999 · 29/01/2010 14:03

I have a mental image of you all ('cept me, obv) living about ten minutes from eachother, in a kind of Emmerdale style village. Don't shatter this for me.
Am idly looking at wedding songs. One wedding album has Air Supply's All out of love on it, which is all about splitting up. ?? I could get new job as researcher of proper wedding songs. Could then also stay in bed all day!

Alicetheinvisible · 29/01/2010 14:04

What Trills means is that she was very good having a smoothie while i had a mocha with cream The difference with DD, Trills is that she does actually sleep, which believe me, makes a hell of a difference to how much work they are

Just been bad again and had chips from the chip shop but having to go for blood tests in a minute so felt i needed it

FlamingoBingo · 29/01/2010 14:06

Gah! Just heard that the cow bag 'friend' reckons I've been ignoring her for about a year now, even though I've made heaps of attempts to patch things up and been kicked in the teeth time and time again. And on just Monday I invited her to lunch! So that explains why she was such a bitch yesterday.

Oh well, can't say I'm too upset about it - has just made me come to a decision to stop trying and know I'm justified in that decision.

Iggi - I think you're right that she's jealous! I am perfect and she is not - she's bound to be a bit jealous about that . And my children are prettier than hers .

I feel like I'm in a soap opera though!

Would you all stop meeting up with eachother!
