FiveGoMadInDorset · 30/01/2010 13:02

That was the only stressful thing so far. Trying to find out what has happened to my real children and work out who the imposters are.

FlamingoBingo · 30/01/2010 13:30

bella, at being ousted from the FB group as the most stressful thing in your day.

hellsbelles · 30/01/2010 13:46

Flam - enjoy your last day in the twenties...

Bella - I'm sorry you are so down. And you absolutely never drone so please don't say that. I was feeling utterly murderous (and fat) with my last AF (you may recall my constant moaning)...but just weighed myself and am back on weight loss track (not quite shiney standards though). It really does make a huge difference so just forget the scales for a week until AF is long gone.

Shiney - you would love the oxford street John Lewis - it has the most stupendous make up/skin care section - have fun today - I'm very as today I have been mostly cleaning up sick. DD did a spectacular vomit all over her car seat. I can't decide whether it's her weekly bug picked up from gymoboree or the start of travel sickness. Not keen on either option...but as she is full of beans now I fear it may be the latter.

Queenie what an amazing weight loss - well done!

DIB - voices - now you've made me paranoid. I have the most awful voice....I always forget and then wonder who that awful woman is talking in all the videos I do with DD and DS. I keep waiting for it to get lower and sexy and alas it never happens.

MitsubishiWarrioress · 30/01/2010 14:24

I have put my problem on discussions on the shiney FB site....

be brutal..I need to get things straight.

Hi hells...

Wow that is fab Queenie...

Child free and have a yen to hike i the sunshine, so I am just waiting for my phone to charge... ho hum..

DreamsInBinary · 30/01/2010 14:28

Oh Bella - I can't even imagine you droning on. You are an absolute rock, but even you need to think about yourself now and again. Hope the haircut and nail polish soothes the soul.

MM/50ft - lovely to have you back

Hells - now I am really curious. Bet you have a lovely voice!

DreamsInBinary · 30/01/2010 14:29

Trills is rather magnificent when stern, isn't she?

hellsbelles · 30/01/2010 14:30

morning mitts

DIB - I really don't. My mother does and for some reason I always thought mine would follow suit and get to be like hers. But it never did

Yikes - DD is waking up - wish me luck on the vomit!

DreamsInBinary · 30/01/2010 14:32

Talking about soothing souls, I had the car valetted today and it looks and smells sparkling clean. They even prised away the sticky stuff from, well, everywhere.

It has cleansed my chi/qi as well as my upholstery

VinegarTits · 30/01/2010 14:35

have had a big clear up today, rearranged all the furniture in my living room

Ds2 now has a little corner with a TV/dvd where he can play his vtech smile and watch his dvd's

Have figured out how to connect my nintendo wii to the wireless internet, so can now watch my you tube favorite videos on the Big TV, with surround sound i can even MN on it, but no need to when i can sit here with my laptop and have videos playing on the TV

I was inspired by mitts and her technical genius

jaquelinehyde · 30/01/2010 14:35

Have replied Mitts.

Only my opinion and I may be well off the mark.

TrillianAstra · 30/01/2010 14:41

I have been to the shop, sprayed bleach around the bathroom a bit, and am now eat guacamole and low-fat hoummus with carrot sticks and a restricted amount of doritos (I put osme in a bowl and closed up the rest of the bag and I won't be going back, not for at least an hour anyway )

Lizzylou · 30/01/2010 14:42

I can't get onto FB at work, Mitts, hope you're OK and get out into the sunshine.
It is lovely and sunny here, have heard it's cold outside but the office is like a bloody greenhouse.

Flam, enjoy the last day of your 20's, I was petrified of being 30, but have enjoyed my 30s far more than my 20s. Your Mom sounds v sweet.

Is Trills getting all kick assy? Excellent.

Hope Bella is enjoying being pampered and comes back all refreshed.

Hells, I imagine you to sound like Fiona Bruce the newsreader.

I have a wierd accent, a bit neutral, with tinges of Lancashire and some Brummy when I have had a few drinks!

DreamsInBinary · 30/01/2010 14:48

Now you mentionit, Lizzy, that's how I imagine Hells, too.

bellavita · 30/01/2010 14:48

Thank you all for you support. You all are really lovely >

Had a nice time at the hairdressers and my nails look lovely, I have had a french polish. I asked the saturday girl not to put a biscuit on the side of my saucer when she made my coffees just so I would not be tempted.

I have finished off my 0 point soup and had a ham sandwich with it using ww bread and a scraping of marg. 0% Total yog and sliced banana for breakfast.

Fanny, I have ordered a piece of belly pork at the butchers this morning for next week. He had one in - was slightly over 3kg, but I would rather have the extra as I always plate up a dinner for my grandad to take home with him.

I bought some peppermint tea in Sainsbo's so will go and have a cup in a mo.

Vinny, where do I get the Aquaban from? DH is going into town tomorrow and I will ask him to get me some.

Am going to attempt some fiddly icing now on my trial run cake for my friends mum.

Love you all!

wastingaway · 30/01/2010 14:50

Aw, Bella is one of the loveliest of the lovely ladies on here. Hope you're having a nice pamper time.

Mitts - I agree with what Jaq said on FB.

I have cut my hair (a bit short at front), dyed it (think all grey is covered) filed my nails and exfoliated all over, shaved my legs and moisturised top to toe. And watched first of this weeks Silent Witness.

Didn't get any housework done while DH and DS were out.

wastingaway · 30/01/2010 14:52

Oh you're back!

wastingaway · 30/01/2010 14:53

Bella, I know you know your stuff, but are you definitely eating all your points every day?

VinegarTits · 30/01/2010 14:54

In any chemist or supermarket Bella, they are in the drugs aisle, near to the vitamins and laxatives

If he just asks the chemist for aquaban they will know what it is

TrillianAstra · 30/01/2010 15:09

Glad you had a nice time at the hairdressers Bella. Sounds like you had a lovely productive time without children wasting

I'm going to try to be practical now and do some glue-ing of the chest of drawers (formerly flat-packed) where it has gone funny. Wish me luck.

Lizzylou · 30/01/2010 15:14

Stern and handy at DIY

I am sooo bored and I am supposed to be going to some "Bring a dish" thing tonight which frankly isn't enticing me. Especially as I had no sleep and have sciatica down my left leg and I am on a diet anyway. AND I will have to drive........

Just want to have a glass of wine and then go to bed with a book.

jaquelinehyde · 30/01/2010 15:29

Lizzy sciatica is horrible isnt it, you poor thing.

Can you not dip out of the bring a dish thing, have a glass of wine and then go to bed.

YanknCock · 30/01/2010 16:00

Hey all, just trying to catch up while 'feeding the baby' (baby being asleep on lap at the moment)....sshhhh, don't tell MrCock as he's upstairs carrying on with the DIY. We've taken out the laminate from landing, bathroom and toilet, and now trying to scrape up some exceptionally old tiles so the vinyl can be laid on Wednesday.

bella, sorry you are feeling down I did a sneaky weigh in this morning and have gained 2 lbs...just depressing, isn't it.

FB, re: latch, I am wondering about that too, it's only one boob getting sore, which hasn't happened since he was less than 2 weeks old. Everything looks right though....

Voice-wise, I sound very nearly Canadian, am told my accent is quite pleasant, but people aren't really going to say otherwise to your face now are they!?

Make-up...when I turned 30 my friend dragged me to selfridges and forced me to buy 'grown up' makeup, and I did keep it up for a while. Tis all old now as I've hardly worn any for a year. Prescriptives custom blend foundation & powder, some clinque stuff, brilliant eye pencil that I can't remember the brand (it's like a shadow pencil, blends and smudges wonderfully).

Age--today is my half-birthday! I will be 34 at end of July.

Have I sort of caught up on all the topics?

hellsbelles · 30/01/2010 16:07

Good luck trills and Bella glad you had a lovely time. I'm going to the hairdressers next week and I can't wait - I'm at that horrid stage where the grey is starting to really really show.

oh Lizzy - poor you. And at Fiona Bruce - if only - more like Louise Rednapp (sort of squeaky which I can't bear on other people!)

DD is on fine form now so perhaps we are sentenced to life with a travel sick child

FlamingoBingo · 30/01/2010 16:18

Yank - has he always gained weight fine? Is it just now it's not so good? Could be normal, actually. Message me on FB if you want to talk in more detail (don't want to hijack this healthy eating thread with the, um, eating habits of babies ). But, although I don't like to make a big deal of it on MN (where I like to be just a mum and don't want to have anything I say as 'just a mum' to be confused with what the organisation I work for would say!) I do know a lot about bfing...so happy to help if you'd like.

FlamingoBingo · 30/01/2010 16:19

Mitts - I'm going to have a think about your dilemma and will post something profound and incredibly helpful (ha!) later on!
