MrsGordonRamsay · 06/07/2005 21:13

Oh thank God,

With the exception of Misdee, has any one else been close to tears thinking about this today ??

I had a run in with someone in work and retired to the loo, to make sure I didn't cry.

One of the girls came after me and said you are very teary are you Ok ?? this is not like you.

At which point I filled up, and started blubbing about my BF's DD who had died yesterday, expected but still sad and then I heard my self saying and Misdees DH is having a huge op today at Harefield, J said goodness you never said, you have never mentioned them before, so I said we don't see them that often these days..........it was either that or explain MN

Miaou · 06/07/2005 21:14

So glad that all is ok for now misdee. When you go to see him, send him our love and tell him that most of mumsnet has been on tenterhooks all day thinking about him....

charleepeters · 06/07/2005 21:15

Misdee, I'm a bit out of touch with what is happening on MN and didn't realise that Peter was having an op. Glad to hear he's out and hope he makes a good recovery. Thinking about you all.

sparklymieow · 07/07/2005 00:06

Demented, Peter went in for a pump op. as he is very ill, too ill for a transplant atm, he was supposed to have a LVAD but the doctors said he was too ill for it and thought they might be able to do a smaller pump but too ill for that one too, They have used an extior valve, and he was in the operating theatre for 8 hours today. He will not allowed home for 3-4 months, while the pump gives his heart a rest, hopefully enough for him to have the transplant. Misdee was very edgy today but she got through it, with a little help of me and DH and of course everyone on here

coppertop · 07/07/2005 06:48

Thank goodness he got through the op okay. Sorry he wasn't able to have the op that had been planned.

Thinking of you and Peter. xx

LIZS · 07/07/2005 07:54

Glad he came through the op ok. Sorry it wasn't the news you'd hoped for, must be very worrying for you all at the moment. Wishing him a swift recovery so that he is well enough when his chance comes.

Will you get to see him today ?

anorak · 07/07/2005 08:15
