People of the world, join hands, join our TOTALly fabulous healthy eating thread.

We are a group of MNetters who wish we lost a pound for every post we have made on this thread since our benevolent leader started her SHINEY threads many, many months ago now.

I am Syc, and I was once deputy although life has slightly got in the way in the last month or so. But, inspired by our recent TOTAL yoghurt bonanza, I'm back and on the wagon.

Join us, we are a friendly bunch but like to waste as many calories as possible through moving our digits very swiftly over the keyboards and posting like women possessed

All denominations here, so whatever way you want to lose weight, maintain or just focus on healthier eating, you will fit right in.

I haven't yet had order confirmation from MW so not sure if it's going to work.

Have also ordered a couple of tops from Littlewoods - did try very hard to look for t-shirts from brands DP would like but it was not to be.

BitOfFun · 07/11/2009 17:12

I've spent fifty quid- I'm exhausted

bellavita · 07/11/2009 17:13

Yay, I have got a DS game for £7 with Littlewoods for DS2 and a joint pressie from Choice - a WII game - F1 driving for £24.00.

TrillianAstra · 07/11/2009 17:13

It's hard work just looking - it's not like I can look for toys.

bellavita · 07/11/2009 17:14

I wanted the Ecko Hoody for DS2 but the did not have it in his size

bellavita · 07/11/2009 17:17

I did not get charged any delivery with either of mine.

BofF - I know what you mean about it being exhausting...

Thanks MsDiamond, for bringing this to our attention

VinegarTits · 07/11/2009 17:25

IF they decide to charge me full whack I will decide then if I want it at full price and either send it back (losing only the delivery charge,) or keep it and pay. It wil be fine.

TrillianAstra · 07/11/2009 17:47

I always pay for online stuff with my credut card anyway, so taking the whole lot and then putting it back is not a problem.

bellavita · 07/11/2009 17:55

Actually, I have done this once before with Littlewoods on a scooter for DS2 last year... they do take the whole money, but it was put back the same day.

hellsbelles · 07/11/2009 18:02

evening all - just getting ready to go out and see fireworks.

Someone at littlewoods must be panicking a bit! Wouldn't want to be in their shoes. Sounds amazing though

jetforkesandbonfires · 07/11/2009 18:03

have been reading the thread - i hope the code still works on monday, as i have no money in my account till then

Have seen an excellent peppa pig phonics thing for mini for £25

Will have a look for something for junior.....

is there an expiry date on the code?

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 07/11/2009 18:09

To take advantage of this offer I would have to open an account with them, and that is just far too risky in my situation.

SparklyAlice · 07/11/2009 18:09

Evening ladies

Had a bit of a wobble this afternoon, on the whole 2 horses and with possible 2nd baby on the way, no family nearby etc.

I am now drinking gin (just the one) and have an evening of junk food and self pity planned.

Hope everyone has a good evening

BitOfFun · 07/11/2009 18:11

Retail therapy?

jaquelinehydeTheBonfireToffee · 07/11/2009 18:11

I'm off to the fireworks too, my little town has one of the areas biggest displays and I just have to walk to the end of my road for it. Then into the Abbey for the actual display.

The children have been talking about nothing else since 7am this morning.

TrillianAstra · 07/11/2009 18:18

Alice - junk food and self-pity don't help anything. Switch the Ben and Jerrys to sorbet at least! That way you get to eat tasty things and not be fat in the morning.

jetforkesandbonfires · 07/11/2009 18:21

ALice - hope you ok hun, and step away from the junk food

SparklyAlice · 07/11/2009 19:40

Pizza, chips and gin down, Ben and Jerry's caramel choo choo and thornton's chocs left to go. Clean slate tomorrow, tonight i just want to wallow. Was trying to explain to DH that i sometimes get fed up of being capable. I have to cope with everything, every day and sometimes i just want to do nothing, absolutely nothing. If i don't put the washing on, no one has clean clothes, if i dont do the dishwasher there is nothing to eat off. If Dh is supposed to do something i have to nag at him til it's done. He is happy to be nagged and i hate doing it. Nearly everyone i know who has kids round here has parents who are always having their kids over for weekends/holidays etc I have had to arrange with FIL for Dh and DD to spend the weekend with him in december so that I can pull up carpets and sand the living room floor.

I am sorry to moan, i'm sure you don't want to hear it, just sometimes it gets on top of me.

Iggipepperedfillet · 07/11/2009 19:57

Oh dear, I feel for you and am often in a similar situation with DP, I seem to be the one juggling all the balls most of the time. Did you get anywhere when you had the conversation with him? Maybe you could delegate one thing to him to do for a week, it would be a start.

jetforkesandbonfires · 07/11/2009 20:01

oh Alice - sorry to hear things are so tough. I know what you mean about getting things done when kids are not there - i am still waiting for a free weekend to put some shelves up, finish the wallpapering etc.

I hope your DH allows you some nothing time, sounds like you deserve it x
