People of the world, join hands, join our TOTALly fabulous healthy eating thread.

We are a group of MNetters who wish we lost a pound for every post we have made on this thread since our benevolent leader started her SHINEY threads many, many months ago now.

I am Syc, and I was once deputy although life has slightly got in the way in the last month or so. But, inspired by our recent TOTAL yoghurt bonanza, I'm back and on the wagon.

Join us, we are a friendly bunch but like to waste as many calories as possible through moving our digits very swiftly over the keyboards and posting like women possessed

All denominations here, so whatever way you want to lose weight, maintain or just focus on healthier eating, you will fit right in.

I can't say anything to him because I will get all upset and cry.... I hate confrontation.

I was going to have a go at doing the ironing this weekend, but after this morning, he can still bloody well do it.

Right, I had better go and get showered. Have loads to do today - need to make DS2's birthday cake (trying to get ahead, will put it in the freezer for next week).

FlamingoBingo · 07/11/2009 09:29

Oh Bella . Be honest with him - seething will make you resentful and cause more problems.

Shine - thongs???? Um..........maybe I won't take them then. I have enough discomfort in my life without slicing my bum up all day long too!

Lizzy - your poor DH

Lizzylou · 07/11/2009 09:31

DH does cry at stuff, but isn't an overly emotional person really.
I am not a seether Bella, I explode and then forget all about it. I do try and sulk but then forget.

Ali, ooh, a stalker, how very exciting.

Am not sure how I will get through today, am knackered and the office is so warm, I have instructed beautiful lithe young co-worker to hit me if I doze off at my desk.

Lizzylou · 07/11/2009 09:34

FB, I think because DH didn't get upset when his Grandma died and has had so much stress at work that it just sort of hit him.
He has had a tough few weeks and it is all coming out now.
He said what made him really upset was when his Uncle was calling her "Mum" and he thought of me and how much he would never want to lose me. Now that is unusal, he is not given to that sort of statement at all.

VinegarTits · 07/11/2009 09:37

Just packed ds2 off to his dads

Lizzylou · 07/11/2009 09:52

yay Vinny
What are you going to do with your child-free time?

catastrophe here in work, the kettle isn't working! There is no way I will get thrugh the day with no caffeine, my eyes are like pee-holes already. Is it a Human Rights issue? Can you go home if no kettle is available?

VinegarTits · 07/11/2009 10:01

I'm going to clean up, get a shower then sneak back to bed for a while

I might be going to 'Go Ape' tomorrow but not sure yet as friend who has organised it is on hol and doesn't know if she can book me on as i only got asked to go last min.

If i do go it will also mean a night out in tackpool blackpool tonight and i am totally skint so will have to go begging this avo

Bella dont let your annoyance with DH brew instide you, life is too short, sorry you are upset though

What is everyone else up to this weekend?

bellavita · 07/11/2009 10:20

Today Vinny, I am just pottering and tidying. Tomorrow, we need to nip into York so DH can choose new glasses - he had his eye test during the week but is not confident enough to choose his own glasses , he needs to get his haircut and then we are off to go order a sofa for the conservatory.

What is Go Ape?

VinegarTits · 07/11/2009 10:29

Go Ape

bellavita · 07/11/2009 10:43

I would not enjoy that at all.

BitOfFun · 07/11/2009 11:36

That looks AMAZING! I am so

TrillianAstra · 07/11/2009 12:01

Aww, you guys are sweet, I was watching tv (have I got news for you - wish I hadn't missed theon where he was scathing about mumsnet) and then had an early night. Slept for more than 12 hours. Will catch up with the rest now.

TrillianAstra · 07/11/2009 12:15

I Love Go Ape - Ive been twice (to the same one).

I'm on your side Bella, your DH is wrong. If you've agreed to do something it doesn't matter if it is a favour or a job or what, you said you would do it so you should turn up when you said you would. He wouldn't like it if you were baking cakes for his charity as a favour and made them a day late.

bellavita · 07/11/2009 12:24

Thanks Trill. Have taken my anger out on the DS's and that ain't good as it is not their fault. They are now tiptoeing around me.

Think I will give them some money to go and buy themselves some treats (chocolate kind) for tonight when we watch X-Factor.

jetforkesandbonfires · 07/11/2009 12:27

Hi everyone, and glad you little one is a lot happier today Vinney

I am so peeved off, but not caving in IYSWIM. Ex is not happy that one of the weekends he is having the girls means a late collection and early drop off. This is to accomdate a xmas party for junior, and mini's own birthday party the next day. But, because the times/dates were all agreed in mediation, he is arguing that its not fair that i am changing things Actually, it wasnt me who changed things, it was junior who stated she wanted to go to her club's xmas party. And the birthday party for mini - its the only time when her little friends can go - on a weekend as their parents all work during the week.

He then said he expects an invite to mini's birthday party Not a chance matey - though i was a little more diplomatic than that

I know this prob should be in the AIBUR thread, but surely both parents (me and him) need to be a bit flexible if the kids have arrangements? I have already cancelled minijet going to one birthday party on her dads time - although i did ask if he wanted to take her, but surprise surprise, he didnt.

I think i will have to get solicitor or someone to put it in writing - god i am so tempted to just cancel the entire contact at the moment!

Sorry for rant

On the plus side, i didnt reach for the chocolate like i normally do when i have to speak to him

jetforkesandbonfires · 07/11/2009 12:29

sorry Bella - meant to day, i also think you're in the right If he promised, he should turn up on time!

Thanks for everyone's support guys

TrillianAstra · 07/11/2009 12:34

I am drinking lemsip. Going to have a very gentle weekend so I'll be fit for the horrors of next week.

Flat is not tidy but I don't care.

On the plus side - we switched to the big duvet last night. I loooooooove the big duvet. It has feathers adn stuff in it and makes a nice noise. But DP gets hot and says that unless it's properly old we have to have the thin synthetic duvet.

hellsbelles · 07/11/2009 12:50

morning all...

Bella - you are in the right but have to agree it's better to let him know how you feel than building it all up inside.

I'm so exhausted..our alarm has been buggered ever since we had new carpets laid and keeps going off randomly (I'm assuming they must have nailed through a wire). It bloody well went off at 3am last night. Oh joy - I could not get back to sleep so am very very short tempered...also have AF.

Isn't it weird that we all have it at the same time - don't they say that happens if women are in teh same group though I though you were supposed to live in the same place - Shiney - shall we start expecting to hear the pitter patter of tiny feed soon (no penquin pun intended of course)

mummylin2495 · 07/11/2009 13:11

here you are girls one huge bowl of fresh strawberries with non fattening cream.>

Ali - DH's new job is going fantastically well, thanks for asking. He's selling cars and he really shouldn't be doing that yet - it's all very good signs for the future. And, more to the point, he absolutely loves it - particularly all the test-driving he has to do.

I think the synchronisation needs for you to be able to smell each others hormones or something.

Shiney, are you sure you're not up the duff? If not then no period might be worth seeing the doctor about. DId your mum have an early menopause?
