Ok, I did it. Guess what my DDs are watching over and over again at the moment?

Anyway, welcome to everyone to our healthy eating thread - trying to lose weight or just to life a healthier lifestyle (and chatting inanely along the way).

Anyone and everyone welcome, just so long as you're nice! We are not a clique and welcome newcomers, so please join us! But beware - this thread moves very fast - just leap right in

Hopefully this one will fill up particularly quickly so we can lose this rather shit title

Hello all, Shite day of interviews (why can't people be bothered to prepare these days? Lazy little ....) but cheered up by a few of the bonkers threads on here today.

Dinner was rather adventurous (for me) - marinated pork fillets....which would have been yummy but for the fact I am a crap inexperienced cook so completely overcooked them and they were totally dry.

Hope all those illing are feeling better - and looking forward to seeing all these new hairstyles.

VinegARGHHHtits · 13/10/2009 19:06

My bacon and potato concoction was delicious

jetonthedancefloor · 13/10/2009 19:10

you all should know me well enough by now to ask for pics

I havent actually got any - as i never get my photo took! It used to be a lot like Fizz from Corrie - not any more

TrillianSlasher · 13/10/2009 19:37

Bacon and potato thingy sounds yum.

Car is 2005 - should not be doing stupid things.

TrillianSlasher · 13/10/2009 19:42

My hair dye is looking less and less purple and more and more brown. Never mind, twas only a fiver and I was feeling impulsivey and like I wanted to do it now. Have taken pic of before hair colour for you all.

harleyd · 13/10/2009 19:45

have you it on already? i cant see pics

TrillianSlasher · 13/10/2009 19:50

No, have taken pic and will upload when I have after pic.

It will not be impressive. Sorry.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 13/10/2009 19:54

I. am. not. at. kickboxing.

I am muchly despondant. Somebody beam me up....anywhere will do. FUCKING relationships.

If I shave my head it will prevent me from pulling my hair out. And save on bleach.

I had the roasty veg thing again. It is a delicious and easy way to eat healthily.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 13/10/2009 20:12

Sorry, self indulgent rant there a minute..don't desert the thread...

vacaloca · 13/10/2009 20:15

Hello everyone. How come you're still stuck on this thread? I thought I'd have to go searching for two more to catch up!

I'm going through a bad period of wanting to eat chocolate biscuits but I'm still managing to keep to 1 or 2 at the most rather than the whole packet. So that's some progress, right?

I went to the 2nd interview today and they want me to do some sort of test this week to see how up to date I am with technology and then they said they'd be ready to offer me the job. Which most likely means it's the end of MN for me. I've agreed to do a lot more hours than I'd planned for so I really can't see myself having any spare time in the next few years.

Lizzylou · 13/10/2009 20:20

Vaca, great news about your job (not about MN though!)

TMW, hope you're OK, rant away, good to get it out!

Trill, am waiting with baited breath, mine is always brown, reddy-brown or grey streaked badger like.

We have our house back! Yay!

TrillianSlasher · 13/10/2009 20:23

Vaca - well done on 1 or 2 chocolate biscuits. Thin/average/normal weight people are people who can have a biscuit or two and not half the packet.

Lizzy I didn't think you were old enough to be grey-streaked?

Stuff is on my hair. Dinner will be spicy tomato bacon pasta (I am preparing while my hair cooks).

Lizzylou · 13/10/2009 20:42

Trill, am 36, have been going grey (only in my parting ) since I was 23.

Coincidentally when I met DH

Yes Vaca, it's having the willpower to stop at 1/2 biscuits that is great. You can't deprive yourself of everything (which is where I think I've been going wrong, so fell off wagon bigstyle), moderation is key.

DevilsEnticeMadness · 13/10/2009 20:43

Good to see you vaca. Thread has been quiet due to RL and illnesses. Is only just starting to pick up again. Very impressed with the 1 or 2 biscuits my good biscuit eating is now down to 5. so actually very

Trill i cant see lizzy owning up to grey anywhere are you getting us confused? i owned up to it. Have had one streak and only one streak since i was 21. Right on my fringe line too

Mits its ok, have a rant, we all feel like that sometimes. so Rant away if you need it.

Jet can you do a head shot and smuggy out the face bit so we can see the hair or is it a phobia of having pic taken?

hellsbelles · 13/10/2009 20:48

one streak of grey - during my pregnancy (stuck on strict bedrest for months ) I couldn't get the hairdresser for my 6 weekly dye job - DS asked why I wanted to have my hair like a witch

MIT - ranting is all good. We can handle it.

vacaloca - exciting news about the job, did they say which day you will do the test?

SazZaVoom · 13/10/2009 21:07

Evening all

RL been madly busy again so have been very lax on MN i'm afraid. Still on the wagon. Still on the plateau

Good to see you back Jet . Fingers x'd for your weigh in but i did have to LOL at your wayward scales

VT - can you let me know the name of the good (wildlife?) park near you which you were all discussing a few weeks ago? We are up your way at the weekend and would like to have it on the list of things to do, weather permitting

Trills - looking forward to the bid 'unveil'

I have put a pic up on my profile from a few weeks ago at a wedding.

Hope the illing people are improving

SazZaVoom · 13/10/2009 21:08

Or even 'big'

TrillianSlasher · 13/10/2009 21:10

See a streak of grey is cool, like Rogue!

A spattering is less cool.

Don't know how purple it will be when dry but my natural highlights are definitely no longer gingery auburn.

jetonthedancefloor · 13/10/2009 21:13

vaca - that is def progress. When i buy jaffa cakes for junior, she has to hide them in her bedroom, or i will munch my way through them I had to laugh at my friend, who was trying to decide whether to buy them. she read the front where it says 1g of fat. Yes, 1g of fat - per cake!!!! Who ever only has 1 jaffa cake

DEM - def a phobia of having my photo taken I will try though!

Lizzylou · 13/10/2009 21:13

Sazz, you hottie! You look fab, great dress and lovely colour on you.

DEM, yep, I too have admitted to badgerlike tendencies

Hells, badger is better than witch, good thing for your DH you were on bedrest!

bellavita · 13/10/2009 21:16

SazZ - fab picture, you look gorgeous.

Vac - what is this new job you speak about?

Hi everyone else

hellsbelles · 13/10/2009 21:17

SazZ - makes me feel all summery seeing that lovely pink - very pretty. Slightly confused though by the pic of you and a smiling DH entitled 'after the deed' - which particular 'deed' was this?!

SazZaVoom · 13/10/2009 21:17

Thanks Lizzy . At least i am now at a point where i will allow a photo to be taken, full length. Before it was head shots only

I LOVE jaffa cakes and i don't even have a sweet tooth. Must be a nightmare for those with sweet tendencies

harleyd · 13/10/2009 21:18

kids all in bed...yay

ive eaten a whole freaking french stick today...on my own

have we piccies yet

SazZaVoom · 13/10/2009 21:19

LOL Hells, was after our wedding vows. I think i had a few of them up previously, so had before and after. Now it just looks a bit out of place
