Revolutionaries of The Shiney Path - The Gorillas In Our Midst Eat Healthily

Welcome to our 22nd Healthy Eating thread under the auspicious eye of Shiney the Cult Leader. She is vegetarian (like a gorilla), but you don't have to be! Or hairy!

I may be getting distracted by my over-cryptic thread title (it is hard when all the obvious ones have been done- fwiw The Shining Path are a South American guerrilla group and I'm looking at watching Che on dvd later, what can I say...), but I have been appointed Tsar With Authority for Titles, and starting this on a Friday night may be ill-judged, BUT...

We are here with the aim of eating healthily, losing weight in varying amounts if that is what we wish, and most of all posting as often as we're able to support each other. We have a good laugh too. Allegedly. But we're no trouble, no siree...

New-comers very welcome, just introduce yourselves and pile in!

That's why you hd the job you have i expect.

Anyone got a calming solution to a psychotic child who is melting down spectaulary and there seems to be no reason or solution to it. Need to cut his nails, they're sharp. its a f ucking conspiracy i tell you.

daftpunk · 03/10/2009 21:28

yes i agree....i was just saying how i would be....i find it a bit sad though that people feel they need support from complete strangers in their hour of need....perhaps a sign of the times ..? how much people have come to rely on support and friendship on-line..

G'night Syc

MavisGrind · 03/10/2009 21:35

Evening ladies. Ok, question of the evening. Do I or do I not have a gin and tonic? I haven't had a drink for 10 days but am aware it's diet d-day on Monday so should I make the most of it?

My sobriety is in your hands laydeess

Salsavita · 03/10/2009 21:38

As long as it gin and slimline - go for it.

DreamsInBinary · 03/10/2009 21:39

Night Syc.

No calming solution, I'm afraid DEM. (Do you want to be called BFM/Moony now?)

Interesting point about the job. Do you find yourself more suspicious in rl Shiney? Has your job affected your take on life? Code/analysis doesn't quite raise the same issues, so am curious

TrillianSlasher · 03/10/2009 21:39

As Bella says - slimline tonic!

I am drinking rose wine cos summer is over now. And watching Return of the King. And internetting. Multi-tasking!

DreamsInBinary · 03/10/2009 21:39

Yes, yes, yes Mavis. Tis Saturday night.

daftpunk · 03/10/2009 21:40

MavisGrind · 03/10/2009 21:41

Oh no, no, no SC. It made me realise just how blindly I take all threads at face value. Like you, I cried buckets last night.

It wasn't that thread that made me reel - more the realisation that I am a newbie to this online stuff, and am a bit wet behind the ears.

daftpunk · 03/10/2009 21:49

but how do i know for sure you have no fresh lemons...?

you could be juggling with 10 of them right now for all i know...

DIB - i will always be DEM. I just put on my october coat.

Might be awfully sweet shiney

daftpunk · 03/10/2009 21:53

about what...?

MavisGrind · 03/10/2009 21:53

Hi Slimey - still crook? Hot orange and honey could be nice.

I have to say (joining a conversation a bit late) I'm a bit gullible and tend to give benefit of the doubt to most threads on here. Mind you, I've not contributed deeply felt personal stuff to a troll to perhaps I've no reason to be suspicious.

DreamsInBinary · 03/10/2009 21:53

Hot orange and brandy?
