You're right mml, it's so bloody tough but worth it in the end and as cc says, the horrible madness etc does subside....

Feel hopeful that have got 'no smoking' head back on, and as I think custardo said, I have to regard dh's ciggies as HIS, and not MINE!!! (a great point, will try to hammer it into brain...)

I drink ...er sometimes nothing..sometimes a quarter bottle of vodka...of a wee bottle...with OJ...sometimes a teeny bit of baileys sometimes loads and sometimes 1 or 2 teeny bopper alcho pops....depends on availablilty time left to drink in the evening and whether it matters how shit i feel in the morning!

It varies massively mml. Some nights I have none, or 2 or 3 glasses, or an entire bottle. On weekend nights me and dh like to sit up v late yacking, and can easily get thro 3 bottles between us.... blush!

Tonight he's coming home with clinking carrier bags full of wine, so must think - THEY ARE HIS CIGARETTES! NOT MINE!!!!

FG is he still smoking inside? Can you ask him not to? Suggest that its what gets you every time and you would really like to succeed and if hes not used to smoking inside it will make it easier when he gives up?

Binge drinking is not good-I just dont do it anymore as spent my entire twenties doing it two or three imes a week-I now drink 2/3/4 glasses of wine most nights-I do know that is too much but its nearly always red wine and I figure the French do it and live well on it so why not I?
On a completely different note-who is loving or hating this heat? Ive not bothered to have a shower yet as have to go to work at 3 and figure if I'd had one this morning I would need another by now.
Agree with charliecat-by the third month you really feel like you've cracked it and I still can't believe I did it-when I smoked I was pathetic and couldn't see how I could ever stop although had a few successful attempts before-normally of 3/4 months a time.........................oops! I'm not out of the woods yet-will feel smug at six months me thinks!
Anyway,last post till Monday so have a hot,sticky weekeend you'all-treat those daddy's well tommorrow!

And sorry, drop, the French don't drink as much as we think/like (my dh is French, we lived there for five years before coming back here). Mostly drink on special occasions or at the restaurant, otherwise they drink water with meals. Lots of salad, though, if you fancy replacing the wine by the salad!
