For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think the final decision SB should rest with someone unpredictable. I vote for FK. Let her decide.

lol Moll.

ahundredtimes · 26/06/2009 20:19

Right I will leave you all in peace now. Must go.

SuperBunny · 26/06/2009 20:44

lol @ amazing x-posts. You are of course, right Franny. But there is something more exciting about pre-packaged kids things. Like a Happy Meal. I dunno. Will think. It's a night flight anyway so DS will probably not want to eat anyway.

mollyroger · 26/06/2009 20:47

run away from lego man,seriously.
leave the country...

SuperBunny · 26/06/2009 20:56

i like cuddly with a beard
you see i don't just do skinny and pale (er, as anyone who has met Mr Franny will know )

pinkspottywellies · 26/06/2009 21:30

Sod it. Let him eat crap for once Hopefully he'll pick up a limp, orange coated, rubbery chicken nugget and say loudly 'Mummy, what is this? It's horrible' and you will pull out a bag of dried apricots and he will be delighted

Half a banana, tomato pasta sauce.

FrannyandZooey · 26/06/2009 22:29

i have no objection to Bunny Minor eating crap for once, but I don't see why he should eat non-vegetarian crap

Psst! am I supposed to be deciding on the airline food or whether SB should go on date with Mr Lego?

(have read thread terribly quickly)

FrannyandZooey · 26/06/2009 22:38

airline food, i think

OP posts:
SuperBunny · 26/06/2009 22:42

See, that's the thing Franny. Why does a child have to eat meat? Why can't they put something else in, like cheese? Most children eat that. I know they can't please everyone but Then again, I have heard rumours that he not only eats meat with his father but McDonalds So, meaty airline food is neither here nor there, really.

FK, you were meant to decide about food. But please let us know what you think about Franny and Lego Man.

FrayedKnot · 26/06/2009 22:42

Go with the vegetarian, SB.

If you don;t, DS will inevitably want to swap with you (this is of course based on my own limited experience of one small ultra-contrary child - yours probably never does such things) and so he will happily chomp through your veggie meal while you starve.

Veggie and your own supply of pencils.

FrayedKnot · 26/06/2009 22:43

Oh sorry, Franny and lego Man. Now I am confused.

Not that it takes much.

SuperBunny · 26/06/2009 22:47

I'm not going on a date with Lego Man. But Franny wants to

FrayedKnot · 26/06/2009 22:49

Franny and Lego Man sitting in a tree...

I was only passing very briefly on way to bed, will be back tomorrow to see what has been decided.

Very little f&v and no exercise

FrannyandZooey · 26/06/2009 22:53

i doubt dp will let me go on a date with lego man
and i really should not get involved with opinionated men anyway

HOLD ON A MINUTE
why are we talking about this
i have 2 children with another man and live on a different continent
I AM NOT GOING ON A DATE WITH LEGO MAN

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/06/2009 22:53

[curious]
what kind of lego, anyway?

OP posts:
SuperBunny · 26/06/2009 23:05

Oh, you're funny Franny!

Actually, he builds quite good stuff - castles, proper ones. And he makes sure they are architechturally accurate (as much as one can in Lego) and does stained glass windows and hunts down medieval wenches to put in them. Lego ones, obviously. Do you know, the female minifigs come with a little hairbrush

Good point re food swapping FK. Not that it ever happens here. No. My DS always eats his own food and never swipes mine. Never.

TheMitsubishiWarrioress · 27/06/2009 08:31

Oh hello..... you lot are fab!

No to the crap food..or can you do your own 'goody bag' SB?

lololol at franny's indignation and then asking what kind of lego..

can someone text me the next time there is talking of being nekky? That is the only downside of having a DS, I can't stroll about in the buff to my hearts content.

And he thinks that women who show too much flesh are common, especially tummies, and tells me off if my top slips down my shoulder...

Have told DD's school we would like to take her out for another school, as we are highly disattisfied with the application of their bullying policy. Head said she was sorry for many reasons, but she needed parents who shared the values of the school because of the ones that were perhaps not quite so 'principled'. But I am tired of dealing with ishues and just want a quiet life for me and DC's. Is that too selfish?

My dc's 11 and 6 are turning into srious pedants, so years of trying to bet them to E-NUN-CI-ATE PROP-ER-LY
and use language COR-RECT-LY, not only has not worked (they have the local dialect) but is being thrown back in my face (esp. DS in the middle of one of his 'rages'), but it sounds like you have chalenges ahead 100...

And yes, it is enjoyable to punish someone if they are 11 and 6 and tell me how to speak

Oh crap, I am so busy I don't come on much..but you are all thought of and i lurk occasionally. I do 10/10 but it is the comforting eating on top that I am trying to deal with.

H and I are existing in the same house which is proving troublesome, DS is having almost daily outbursts, DD is fragile but a sweetie and my anaemia is improved but still recurring.. I miss collapsing in the yurt and being silly

Long post sorry, But quickly....hi boco, I hope the health of your family is improving. Molly, approach the music folk, life is to short for regrets. LR needs reinflating because she is a dot.., and we are generally sad about MJ, he has left an astonishing legacy though. SB should go on a date with lego man. Franny likes strange men, and is testing squeezy jam , and I am with pointy in loving you all, but am not at a rave and have NEVER tried drugs of any kind. I am probably the most boring and least worthy vegger,

bye for now, hope all have good weekends

FrannyandZooey · 27/06/2009 09:53

Bunny i wish we could all stand at the airport with banners for you
"VEGGERS WELCOME SUPERBUNNY"
that would not look odd at all

i think the lego sounds a little bit cool
but i am guessing he doesn't have children?

OP posts:
mollyroger · 27/06/2009 10:40

MW - feel free to judge away but having 2 dsses does not stop me from being nekky in my own house. When the boys give me subtle clues (like running away screaming ''my eyes, my eyes'' or throwing up at the sight of my wrinkled stomach-blob) then I'll cover up.

mollyroger · 27/06/2009 10:42

I think lego man's lego sounds v cool too. But I'm guessing he'd flip if a child came within breathing distance of one of his creations....
my mother had a wierdy doll-house freak friend who was like that, shrieking ''it's not a toy, it's NOT a toy'' if I even ventured into the half of the room where the dolls house was

pointydog · 27/06/2009 11:25

you have all been most interesting
