Been to GP this morning ....Results from MRI are back....... KANGADADDY IS OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to GP this morning and NO CANCER

There were NO Growths or TUMORS or slipped disc.

We still don't know what is causing the pain

He is to keep going with Gabapentin and Dicofenac drugs for another month to keep the pain under control

In a months time GP will refer him to Neurologist for further investigation

We are so relieved and the GP was too he has done a good job

I'm feeling the cause is in his shoulders... DEFFO see your osteopath, and DEFFO book more than one sess.... these things can take a wee while to sort out...

My DH has to have a scan next week because he had some swelling 'down there'. It went away with antibiotics.. but they still want to scan him

HUB2DEE It is the sciatic nerve that is involved and the pain travels down it down the left leg. The nerve starts in the lumbar region and travels down the leg. So am absolutely positive it is nowhere near his shoulder he can touch his toes and bend well.

The pain is totally down his leg.

SJ hope your DH gets good results when he has his scan.

The thing was DH had NO symptoms of swelling, pain, discomfort or any signs of prostate problems. But depending where the tumor is situated sometimes you get no symptoms

MRI went up the spine too as well as pelvic region

So glad for you all Kanga what a relief

Kanga, now that your dh has had the all clear from the scan, I thought I'd recommend a therapy that my dh used a few years ago.

He had long term horrendous pain in one of his shoulders and one side of his neck, with no obvious cause. Doctors suggested surgery as a possible cure, but there were risks attached. Anyway, I read about something called the "Bowen Technique" in The Sunday Times health section. Dh was sceptical but desperate and tried it - I think he had 3 sessions. It really did cure the pain. It was about 7 years ago and although some of the discomfort has returned, it has never been as bad.

Your dh can have a look and see what he thinks:
