Referred to breats clinic - am terrified.

The dr found a mass in one breast 2 weeks ago and I had to go back today, after my period.

She can still feel it and so has referred me ot breast clinic for a scan.

I have also been given beta blockers for panic attacks as not coping v well with anxiety.

She has said she doesn't think it is sinister but is referring me to double check.
Would she say this just to reassure me?

Not sure how I will wait for 2 weeks.

A consultant will perform a really thorough exam and because boobs are their speciality, they can often tell by feel the nature of the lump and go from there.
