The suggested goals are:

EAT 3 PORTIONS OF CAKE EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much cake I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 3 MINUTES OF COMPLAINING EVERY DAY - can be whinging, moaning, or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 3 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

Springy, if you can scrape together even a small amount of chocolate, you can have chocolate cornflake cakes in a matter of minutes? What did you do with that big bar of Dairy Milk? Hmmmm????

TigerFeet · 26/03/2009 10:57

Do you have any treacle springy? Syrup? Crunchy nut cornflake cakes sound just the ticket! Fortified with vitamins too... or would that exclude them?

mollyroger · 26/03/2009 10:57

at TF.

bronze · 26/03/2009 11:04

First complaint- I don't have any bloody cake. I would have cake over chocolate any day.

SpringySunshine · 26/03/2009 11:07

That's an excellent point, Ju. Where has that man hidden the Dairy Milk? (I'm scared to look because I'm fairly sure that I won't find it because he's eaten it. Does he not understand that I'm very pregnant & have cake-eating quotas to meet?!)

& yes, I think I do have syrup! I was thinking I may bake a cake, but I don't have eggs. Gah.

My new moan to add to this is that it's becoming apparent that I'm going to actually have to do a grocery shop again

bronze · 26/03/2009 11:09

I have eggs and carrots. I think I know what I'm going to have to make.

Springy if you can find that chocolate then you can make cornflake nests no eggs needed

mollyroger · 26/03/2009 11:13

ah well, Springers old bean, i have ordered mine online [smug] but as we are (sort-of) in the same county, I'll send you a packet of hobnobs down south...
I bear no grudge, even though you have clearly siphoned off all the sunshine intended for me.

bronze · 26/03/2009 11:16

Just noticed tigers rules. Does that mean if I make sickly sweet carrot cake its still too healthy?

Juwesm · 26/03/2009 11:17

Though if you do go shopping, get some mini-eggs to go in the cornflake nests.

Juwesm · 26/03/2009 11:18

Perhaps you could cancel out the carrots with extra frosting?

Hassled · 26/03/2009 11:19

Yes, bronze, putting carrot in a cake is defeating the whole object.

How wrong would it be if I ambled down the road for no other reason than to buy enough white chocolate to make this cake? I have nowt better to do really today (well, aside from all that work stuff), and am quite obsessed with it. I want it and I want it now.

SpringySunshine · 26/03/2009 11:24

Ju, I already have Shredded Wheat sitting in my cupboard for future Easter Nest making - melted chocolate + the crushed up cereal + Mini Eggs. Mmmm. That's why I bought the big slab of chocolate in the first place. To be honest, I think this calls for a divorce.

& if that doesn't, the fact that he's allergic to white chocolate & I can't make Hassled's cake definitely does.

& Molly, it's becoming decidedly overcast here. I think I'm swapping you sunshine for hobnobs. I can live with that.

Juwesm · 26/03/2009 11:25

Mmmmm, num num num. I'd now like to complain that I don't have any white chocolate and I can't be doing with waddling to the shop again.

SpringySunshine · 26/03/2009 11:26

& Hassled, there'd be nothing wrong with going to get the chocolate for that cake. Cake baking is a difficult skill & it's important for any Good Woman to practice when possible. You owe it to your gender to make that cake by any means necessary.

Juwesm · 26/03/2009 11:26

Careful Springy - Shredded Wheat sounds awful healthy to me....I do feel that Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, or even Frosties, would be safer.

Cake

I have just finnished the cup cakes the boys made

bronze · 26/03/2009 11:33

I dont have anythign else and I need cake

Juwesm · 26/03/2009 11:35

Go for the carrot cake! To hell with the rules. I ate the jaffa cakes whole.

SobranieCocktail · 26/03/2009 11:36

LOL

Oh you are funny Franny

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 11:39

Can I join in?

On the 'cake' front:
I have eaten three chocolate chip cookies.
I am thinking about making a loaf of gingerbread.

On the complaints front:
I have a streaming cold and the multi-coloured snot also.
I am chilly.

bronze · 26/03/2009 11:48

I really hate having to make them though I just want them NOW

FlyMeToDunoon · 26/03/2009 13:54

gingerbread is underway here.
I am so glad I found this thread to motivate me.

Schulte · 26/03/2009 15:06

Don't you think homemade cake is too healthy? I had some absolutely rubbish Tesco carrot cake yesterday.
