For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Don't mean to worry you Polly but that might actually be an illegal sticker. Franny may be In Charge but she doesn't have a sticker license OR a key to the sticker cupboard. You will have to check with Pink.

Are we in the village hall today then? Probably for the best given the shoddy weather. I have developed a fondness for strong sweet tea. Perfect for village halls wouldn't you say?

I came on here to do ironing avoidance but opened the thread at the bit where pink was on about doing ironing [glares]. I can put it off no longer.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/01/2009 13:51

I don't OWN a kiwi spoon, I've just seen them. However as I am a great one for spending money on gadgets that solve a problem that wasn't really a problem in the first place, I thought they were a god idea I do have some grapefruit spoons though They are good, really they are!

How dull am I, waffling on about spoons.......

Cazalet, that name rings a bell .....

TigerFeet · 28/01/2009 13:52

Aww polly, keeps polishing that sticker. I think it was franny that gave me the only one I have ever had and I still take it out and gaze fondly at it from time to time.

TinyWhiteFeather · 28/01/2009 14:07

Ironing is an ART form, and it is only truly appreciated by those who can look below the surface of it's seemingly mundane time consumingness and understand how spiritually uplifting the process is.

We ironers are improving the quality of peoples lives dontcha know,

You poor misguided, non ironing, innocents......

Guad, are you really younger than me

You always seem so mature (in a v v good way) and give advice and do grown up things like buying another house

Ironing also warms you up, Feather.

The heating didn't properly come on this morning, we may have run out of oil. I think we ordered some to come today by lunchtime, but nothing yet, and dh booked it and isn't here and so I don't know.

Avi, yes, you must tell us the menu so we can drool and pretend we are there.

Boco · 28/01/2009 14:35

I've just been speaking to friend who has a new baby, Ettore. You say it Ettor-ray. You may have known that already, I didn't. She seems to be totally overwhelmed with how hard it is, but it's her first and a Big Shock. I'd like to go and help, but she's miles away. So I recommended lots of things and she nodded.
