For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTicky · 17/01/2009 20:36

Oh Pink, here is a super big hug for you
{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{xxxxxxxx}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
You are fab and utterly overrun with hormones.
You do need me time. I have only just realised I need it and tbh the guilt can be a little overwhelming but god it is worth it.

Bee, I do love you. You have such a way with words.

Feather, I think I can probably see my way to forgiving you

Franny - the bastards. How dare they cast aspersions on your milk

Who else was here? I can't remember but I love you all.

I am going to take children to bed then hopefully sneak back down.

Oh, if I am finding myself holding things v close to read them, although I can still read them when they are further away, and I have to squint a bit to read at bedtime (in semi-darkness) (and cannot read at all unless book is totally still, not a tremor).
And don't read for pleasure any more because it is hard work. And I am struggling a bit with night driving.
Do I have a problem?

Actually, reading it all through, it doesn't sound good, does it?

SuperBunny · 17/01/2009 20:36

Um, Toot, I think you might do.

I was a bit like that and have astigmatism. I have 20/20 vision but things are blurry and I can't read signs in the dark or see writing on screens. I have specs which stop my eyes hurting when I remember to use them

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 17/01/2009 20:41

Er, you might want to get your eyes tested TooT. It'll be nothing bad but these things are usually best if you get them sorted quickly.

Hope you're ok TooT ((((((((hugs))))))))

TinyWhiteFeather · 17/01/2009 20:57

Reading thing might just be worth following up Toot,

Takes a deep deep breathe...puts on a bossy head...SEE SOMEONE ABOUT IT....please

Pink...you know that thing about the liver and drinking and if you damage it, it starts to heal itself the minute you start adressing the problem. Well I think children are like that. So with a second pregnancy there may be times when a first child feels left out, but as soon as you do something to redress the issue, DD will 'heal' and everything will be ok.

You are a lovely lovely person and mum and I think, like everybody else, that you will do just fine...because you care so much. So more tender hugs and do you want to share my tissues?

And do you know, for all the problems that I have with DS, he is a fabulous young man with a huge amount of potential and I think you will love being mummy to a little boy...men boys rock.

Looking forward to having you back in the pit though!!

Oh! children are lurking and H is drinking again huffy, must go and float maternally

Guadalupe · 17/01/2009 21:09

Toot - go and see the eye doctor. [stern]

Ha ha at catchment area. I don't know what criteria there are. Her dad is someone important in the army and has been knighted so that might do it. She is a bit about having it there, next time she's sticking with her local one but seen as that's way up north I'm glad they're coming to London this time. I haven't met the baby yet.

Dh and I could have been married in Canterbury cathedral as he went to school there but we only had about 20 people at the ceremoney so we got married in a brewery instead.

Pink - you will be marvellous. I felt just like you at this stage and really, it's fine. You muddle along and soon won't be able to imagine it being any different.

"Westminster Abbey is neither a parish church nor a cathedral and today is still a church dedicated to regular worship and to the celebration of illustrious events in the life of the nation. Under the jurisdiction of a Dean and Chapter, Westminster Abbey is a "royal peculiar" and is subject only to the Sovereign."

SuperBunny · 17/01/2009 21:19

Hmm, interesting.

Guadalupe · 17/01/2009 21:26

What does royal peculiar mean?

I just spent half an hour looking for our parking pass for tomorrow. I am so fricking disorganised. My house is full of piles of paper.

pinkspottywellies · 17/01/2009 22:16

Satsumas and grapes. Lost count how many of each but a lot!

My mum used to count my peas. 9 peas when I was 9 years old etc [fussy eater]

SuperBunny · 17/01/2009 22:22

Do you eat peas, now? I have recently met 2 adults who won't eat peas
Guad, my house is like that.
