DH's friends girlfriend is a week overdue with their first baby. She was rushed into hospital yesterday after collapsing and put in intensive care. She isn't getting enough oxygen to her brain but they can't deliver the baby until she stabilizes. They think she may have a blood clot and are carrying out tests today. I hope they are both ok. Her poor boyfriend doesn't know if he is coming or going. He is beside himself with worry as he thinks he will loose both of them

They have a baby boy, weighed 2.91 kg (no idea in lb and oz)
Mum had an operation on a veinin her stomach the week before she collasped. A blood clot had formed and went to her brain. She is doing well, she came home from hospital today but will take a further 6 months to fully recover. Baby is being kept in hospital, not sure why, but will make a full recovery.
