TMI - bottoms post children

Boobalina · 18/11/2008 16:48

I have had 2 kids - DS is 4 and DD is 1. DS - I laboured for about 50 hours and got to 8cm before an EMCS - He was 8lb 9oz.

DD was to be an elective, she had other ideas, got to 2cm and had EMCS. She was 7lb 9oz

So no Vaginal delivery here.

I had pretty unslightly piles with both kids, and since (TMI starts now)although I dont have piles, the (searches for word that doesnt sound revolting) little dangly bits of skin coming out of bumhole (cringe) never shrank or went back in.

Also, It seems that if I do a poop - all is fine, no need to rush to loo or anything, but it seems to take ages to wipe my bum. Now I know that sounds really odd, but it seems to be wipe, check, better wipe again, check, and repeat. Then a few hours later, wiping front to back after a wee - there is still a poo smear there?

Is my bum broken?

moist toilet tissue gives me an irritated fanjo

Do you know what - I've been worrying about this for literally years and now I feel better that you all have broken bums too!

compo · 18/11/2008 16:59

compo · 18/11/2008 17:00

LOL at broken bums - mine certainly FELT broken post-delivery but seems to be better-ish 11 m later. Still have piles ishoos though and also have worries about DH seeing the unsightliness. tbf so is he!

Boobalina · 18/11/2008 17:02

I'm not using them on my fanjo, but the old b-hole is near the v-hole and its still gets irritated. Poor me and my bibbly, bobbly bits.

hi MAS!!!!!!!!

mrsmaidamess · 18/11/2008 17:21

I can't believe I'm going to type this but...

Its not the texture of your poop thats the problem rather than the danglers, is it?

By that I mean, is your diet good?

Eating crappy stuff can make ones poop a lot more smeary in my experience so I've read.

ipanemagirl · 18/11/2008 17:23

watch this video about piles!

unsexy bloke from NHS direct tells it like it is!! I do not want to give him one or show him my pile (note singular...)

ipanemagirl · 18/11/2008 17:24

"grapes"!!!! seriously watch this man talk piles, I love it.

MaryAnnSingleton · 18/11/2008 17:25

hi ipanema ! nice to see you on a pile thread !

Jacksmama · 18/11/2008 17:25

The dangly bits are called skin tags and they're what's left after haemorrhoids have shrunk. Very unsightly!!! In our loo the sink is right by the toilet so I wet down the toilet paper to wipe rather than use baby wipes for same reason (irritation). 36 hours labour, crazy pushing efforts... my bum's broken too.
xxxx

ipanemagirl · 18/11/2008 17:28

MAS I was thinking the same thing!!!

ipanemagirl · 18/11/2008 17:32

check out how this doc says "ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSE"

LackaDAISYcal · 18/11/2008 17:37

OMFG

I am nursing my first ever pile after my first ever vaginal delivery (after 2 sections) and was of the (obviously naive) impression that once it had been blasted by anusol, that was it....bye bye pile and nothing to remind me of the horror.

I am now in bits that a) it'll be hanging around for ever and b) my bottom could be broken for ever.

expatinscotland · 18/11/2008 17:47

anusol did nothing for my piles.

xyloproct and proctasyl does, however.

and lactulose.
