congratulations phdlife what a wonderful suppriseb but what a shock! How did your dh take the news? I will be watching this thread to find out how far along you are!!! Hope your doing well! x

LilRedWG · 11/11/2008 08:34

My sister worked with someone who figured out she was pregnant when she had stomach ache and gave birth!

NorbertDentressangle · 11/11/2008 13:38

That would be a bit of a shock wouldn't it!

In fact a friend of mine works with a guy who phoned into work one day to say "Sorry but I won't be in today as my wife had a baby last night" -the thing was no-one, including the woman who gave birth, had any idea she was pregnant!

DarksomeNight · 12/11/2008 11:51

OOOh, so I was close then too. I can't believe you are that far and didn't realise.

I also never really felt movement til about that time, never at the 20 week scan cos remember thinking it was wierd to see the little thing bashing around in there but not being able to feel it.

DarksomeNight · 12/11/2008 11:53

Red, was she fat, I knew a fairly fat woman that had that, but not someone normal ish size. It is amazing these stories you here of fairly slim women where the baby sits towards the back so there really isn't much bump.
Considering how large you get in teh last couple of months it seems impossible doesn't it, and you feel so crap and heavy and just think GET OUT!!, how could you NOT KNOW

LilRedWG · 12/11/2008 16:01

Not sure. I think from what my sister said she was normalish size - neither skinny nor fat.

The lovely PHD is lovely and slim so I'm not quite sure how she missed it for this long! :0

phdlife · 12/11/2008 23:02

I was lovely (never slim Red - you need to get your eyes checked ) now I am the size of a pygmy hippopotamus wandering round with a crazed look in my eye shoving random things into boxes and muttering. movers come on friday...

wow, half way there then! Glad the lo is all ok. Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy

DarksomeNight · 24/11/2008 13:33

oh no 2 birthdays together, bad planning phd.
Oh that's right, NO planning hahaaaaaaaaaaaaa[evil]

Seriously though, dd1's birthday 8 days before xmas, nightmare. so many things to organise and buy, I start getting her pressies at the beginning of summer so I have it all by xmas.

Am slightly worried this year that all the friends she's invited to her party will be busy with xmas stuff and she will be upset.

alittleteapot · 25/11/2008 21:37

Congrats again phd, glad all is well. you know how we're always in sync, well now MY bellybutton's popped out again. Except I'm NOT pg. At least I WASN'T
Seriously, don't think I am so will have to check out your other thread for other possible reasons!
Hope you're feeling ok and that ds is sleeping well for you. when's the big move?
