For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh yes, bust her ass, I like the sound of that. She sounds like a complete pain. Do her.

Boco - never mind. Make appointment for another day. Luckily I forgot to tell DD actually so she won't be disappointed. I don't mind having dd2 on a schoolday if you want.

I am armed with cheese and rose and I am going to watch Mrs Dalloway because I have been meaning to for ages and I am wasting a monthly payment to LoveFilm by never watching it and getting a new one.

pinkspottywellies · 26/08/2008 20:34

NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Guad! Step away from the rose!!

Guadalupe · 26/08/2008 20:35

Why?

I said I was starting a detox tomorrow.

filthymindedvixen · 26/08/2008 20:37

yeah, me too!

berolina · 26/08/2008 20:38

I am here briefly - came on MN to send good wishes to Aitch - haven't really time or tbh inclination to be on MN atm with getting my head round being back at work.

Hope all are well.

franny I have not read whole drama but am adding my support. We have always avoided 'leaving' dses (well ds1, issue has not come up for ds2 yet) until we have felt they and we are entirely comfortable with it and have had some reactions (as well, to be fair, as lots of support). Am extremely of the home ed. It is illegal here and I must finally join the campaign to make it legal.

pinkspottywellies · 26/08/2008 20:38

Sorry. Misunderstood from this 'I am trying not to drink after days of ridiculous drink mixing but I will fancy wine with my tea of cheese I know it.' Didn't see that you were starting tomorrow!!

pinkspottywellies · 26/08/2008 20:40

Ah I see it! Further down! Sorry Guad, as you were. It's Boco's influence you know.

I've just realised I'm working tomorrow. Got loads to do tonight now and need early night and more food and grrrrr it's all too much.

Guadalupe · 26/08/2008 20:41

[annoyingly smug]

sauvignon blanc

pinkspottywellies · 26/08/2008 20:54

You and I have an excuse Franny - new mum and mum-to-be but I don't know about anyone else!

filthymindedvixen · 26/08/2008 20:54

ohhhhhh cheeese! Wow..... I will eat it all. Bloody dh has just told me that the chicken breasts in sauce which I asked him to put in the oven an hour ago haven't exactly made it as far as the oven. FFS! Now I have to wait until 9.30.

I am picking at salad but I want something substantial. NOW.

Guadalupe · 26/08/2008 20:55

we have an excuse

we have done a lot of dancing

TigerFeet · 26/08/2008 21:00

Pink, BE is a new mum too

and tandem feeding

therefore two women need to eat her calorie allowance [tenuous]

filthymindedvixen · 26/08/2008 21:01

yes yes, much much exercise was done by Guad and I. Tent pitching, pie toddler chasing, wandering aimlessly for hours over hill and dale searching for pies fruit, husbands, children etc, dancing, pie eating
