For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

you can always leave if it's a chore. Or stay in a nearby B&B?

a banana

My DSD just rang me at work to say thank you for finishing her room off (more or less!) [choked].

womblingalong · 05/08/2008 11:26

Still on holiday I think

filthymindedvixen · 05/08/2008 17:39

hello. Gues what - go to meet a mumsnetter for coffee and we knew each other...went to sixth form together a zillion years ago!

Luckily it wasn't one of those ''oh yes, I remember you, you tried to flush my head down the toilet/you slept with my boyfriend/you were the one every called dirty greasy spot spot'' ones...

Boco · 05/08/2008 17:44

Small weld filth! Are we allowed to know which mumsnetter? were you friends before - had you not realised on mumsnet that you already knew each other?

Have been doing more playscheming today - it's very good fun, I love the cutting and stickingness and the children have all been great. Best of all are the 5 year old boys, they're funny and have complicated requests like 'can you draw me some farm machinery, but not a tractor, but something with a funnel, and 4 cows, and a mole burrowing underneath?'

filthymindedvixen · 05/08/2008 17:47

no, I haven't sen her since 6th form. we weren't in the same classes but we bioth did english!

we had been emailing a little because our children had similar SEN and I am v jealous of her because she is able to home ed her boys..
I feel I ought to check with her for some reason before saying who she is though. She know I am a fruity bitch .

pinkspottywellies · 05/08/2008 18:22

That's nice Filth! And did you get on well?

We went to a teddy bear's picnic with our toddler group today. It rained. We had a nice time though

F&V not so hot. Lettuce and cuc in wrap, raisins, peach yoghurt (naice stuff with pieces of peach in), beans. Oh heck. That's about 2 portions.

Oh forgot to say I picked over half a pound of blackberries yesterday

filthymindedvixen · 05/08/2008 18:32

well i had a lovely time and hope we will see more of each other.

FrannyandZooey · 05/08/2008 18:37

OP posts:
filthymindedvixen · 05/08/2008 18:40

Sorry to crash your thread, ladies.

Glad everything is going swimmingly with DS2, F&Z.

By a spooky coincidence, I also met a MNer today, in very similar circumstances to FMV.
And I had a lovely time too.

Oh how lovely that FMV and HC are friends

Carrots, broccoli, sweetcorn, cauli

Have deffo managed 10 today. I need to work on exercise still. I am semi lurking semi posting on another thread, a weight loss one, and they advocate exercise too. I did 10 mins on my stepper and I was knackered for 2 days . Clearly anything I do outside the ordinary is taking its toll, I need to start reeeeeealllyy ssllllowwlly and build up. Anyway, off swimming with dd tomorrow which doesn't seem to affect me so badly so it's all good

Did ds2 enjoy his trip out Franny?
He is doing well isn't he? DD put on weight really quickly too, she was a gorgeous little round baby by 3mo
