For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

Am feeling very peculiar today
not sure what's up but feel mighty groggy

filthymindedvixen · 21/07/2008 12:55

in fact BBBee, when I posted that, I was secretly hoping for 100 to come and tell me not to be such a ninny. And then you came and did it beautifully instead

OB, I slept for 10 hours last night and the night before. I have a sort of end-of-term hangover I think.

Lully, your body is probably reflecting how you are feeling emotionally...xx

Morning all. ANy news on Franny?

Enjoy Hertfordhsire, TF. I grew up there.

On mega fruit binge today to make up for weekend.

Glad you have an appointment for DS2's eye Toot - September really is far too long a wait.

It's pouring and I have to walk a mile and a half to visit a friend. DS will be poodling along on his trike so it will take forever to get there.

Hi TooT! How's things? Good news about eye appt

I have been eating pineapple. You only need a tiny amount for a portion - I weighed it this morning and realised I'd munched a full portion while I was chopping it!

Also had raisins, toms, cuc, radishes.

DD is hiding behind the curtains and we are doing tickling and silly giggles and it's marvellous

No Franny news yet?

Oh FMF I so would have told you to not to give it a moment's thought and that other people's children always behave better when away from their home or boat, and you should go and have a bath and forget all that. Bee did it better though. I like it when Bee is all warm and bossy.

I have decided I want to live in America. I am broaching this with dh. He is narrowing his eyes at me suspiciously. It'd be good though wouldn't it? I have a think about America.

dd off for her first sleep over. I pity the poor family. She is taking two changes of clothes, some dominoes, a skipping rope, two books, a doll's head and a hairbrush. She has plans. I don't know whether to mention this to the mother or not - this mother's house is v. spic and span, and all clothes are ironed and she is very, very calm.

Boys are off to someone's house at 5.30 until 8.30. I might drag dh to a pub and sell him my brilliant idea.

TigerFeet · 21/07/2008 15:05

Am back from Hertfordshire. I'm sure that it's lovely. Sadly I just whizz in, attend meeting, whizz out again. It's all very silly, could be done with the magic of email and conference calls, but we have to attend in person . Never mind, I got lunch on expenses. Not that I went mad. Sushi (yum) and rainbow friut salad (double yum) from a supermarket.

Good news about the appointment TooT, best of luck

Sending bucketfuls of love to the Zooeys

OsmosisBanana · 21/07/2008 15:10

The cricket is v bad indeed today TF.

158 for 6.

But Ambrose and Flintoff could be a good partnership yes? Sigh. Doubtful isn't it?

Bunch of monkeys, the lot of them.

TigerFeet · 21/07/2008 15:11

Oh I would love to live somewhere more exotic. Does America count as exotic? We're not in Kansas any more Toto. Trouble is, dh. Whilst constantly whinging about the downmarket nature of the town in which we live and some of its inhabitants, the English weather, rip of Britain etc etc ad nauseum; he Does Not Like Change and will not move anywhere. He won't entertain moving abroad as MIL will not fly (fair enough I s'pose [grudging]). Are you serious about moving 100x? Is it feasible?

TigerFeet · 21/07/2008 15:13

An innings defeat OB? [gloom]

OsmosisBanana · 21/07/2008 15:16

Looks likely.

We always knew The Ashes was a flash in the pan though eh?

Not that I'm defeatest or anyfink.

LullyOfShallot · 21/07/2008 15:18

Thinking of you Franny x

ahundredtimes · 21/07/2008 15:19

Don't see why not [defiant]

We have moved a lot though. We should probably stop. But still, just for a year or so? Before school really matters and things? I fancy it, but then I fancy lots of things. I will report back.

I read a good piece about Latitude. It sounded fantastic. I bet Boco had a good time.

UnderRated · 21/07/2008 15:20

ahundred, I really don't think America is a good idea. I get lots of looks because of our diet (you know, fruit and veg, not really buying processed/ boxed/ instant food, wholegrains) and I'm not even a hardcore vegger. But then, I am quite resentful at being here. Good luck selling your idea!

Hope Franny is ok.

UnderRated · 21/07/2008 15:25

And honestly, it's not exotic here. Perhaps LA might count. Or Miami. But then you'd have to go rollerblading in your bikini every day. Then again, living somewhere else can be a very good experience.

OsmosisBanana · 21/07/2008 15:30

I found an old friend on FBook who has moved to America, to Arizona. He has gone proper 'mercn. Got a gun license and stuff and goes and shoots stuff and stuff. Just wanted to put another and stuff in there to elucidate my point.

More shockingly, he now drinks Budweiser.

TigerFeet · 21/07/2008 15:33

UR You make LA sound like a non-stop Tampax advert .

Crikkit unlikely to go into the fifth day. There wasn't one decent partnership in the first innings. A colleague was at Headingley yesterday. Apparently there was free wine followed by a few arrests for drunk & disorderly. Nothing else worth talking about today apparently. Possibly due to his horrendous hangover

OsmosisBanana · 21/07/2008 15:35

Don't talk to me about horrendous hangovers. Am trying to summon up the courage to eat some lunch.

UnderRated · 21/07/2008 15:36

Oh, that's scary, OB. I do not have a gun or a license and I refuse to drink Bud. But I have found myself asking for a 'bahddle of wahddrrrr' when I need to buy water. Or I get BF to ask for it because they never understand me when I speak English English and I hate it when I hear myself speaking with a bit of a lilt. And, when I am with Americans, I go up at the end of every sentence? So every sentence sounds like a question? You know? Like this? Otherwise they don't really understand me?

UnderRated · 21/07/2008 15:38

LOL @ tampax advert
