basically
size 8-10
30HH boobs
no more kids as have 3 supremely good specimens in situ
Good bmi etc
have shoulder neck pain constantly, dents in shoulders, fungal rashes. Plus v self conscious as on my frame (boyish) they look quite frankly, comedic.
So am falling on nhs to save me...
zero vanity involved in this tbh
am anxious and fear tears may flow as want this soooookooo badly

What's your e-mail piffle and I'll be happy to send.

I am definitely being brazen. Half the mums have looked down my bra to see where my nipples are stitched on, and 2 saw the full effect when they came round yesterday to take all my old bras. I had to tell lots of people in advance because of the Trike ride (I wouldn't recommend having the biggest event in the pre-school calendar 4 days post op, especially if you are chair like me) and have called in favours from others with pick-ups etc to help dh out. I am the talk of the playground, but everyone has been really nice.

Piffle · 04/07/2008 22:25

yep... As I thought. Brazen!
have you been ill?
have you lost weight?

Yep
pru will avoid the ptfa around that time

Prufrock · 04/07/2008 22:52

Sent it - well, at least my crappy broadband is trying to send. Let me know if you don't have it soon.

(Dh is sitting here asking why I'm sending pictures of my tits to someone I don't know - I explained that if your whole mumsnet persona is a ruse to get mediocre porn snaps it's a very very elaborate one!

Piffle · 05/07/2008 07:56

Lol pru!!!!!
dp just took a photo of mine for comparison and we both giggled at how seedy we felt

Got the photos thank you, will reply in detail later as am crappy iPod atm.
really appreciate all this info.

Your tits look fab pru!

How long would it be before i could lift my 2 yo into his car seat?

Prufrock · 06/07/2008 20:57

You aren't meant to lift anything for 3 weeks, though tbh I did heft ds(4) into his car seat today (12 days) and was OK. You can't drive for 10 days post op (I did today and was OK though seatbelt wasn't comfy)
tbh I do think you need someone around to possibly do everything for 2 weeks (which is the minimum time you are meant to have off work) I'm fairly robust (I organised a bloody trike ride 4 days post op fgs) but there have been some times when I have just been completely and utterly wiped (which I think is result of GA - it knocks your immune system out) and have needed dh to be here to help.

mymittens · 06/07/2008 21:16

dh has got 3 weeks off work (may have to go to worj for a while during 3rd week)but will be around to help most of the time. So sounds like it shoud be ok? I have to say i'm a bit wimpy with pain but really want this op - have thought about it on and off for years and year!

mymittens · 06/07/2008 21:17

surgeon said that GA will mean i get tired more quickly for quite a while. How do you feel now Prufrock?

Prufrock · 06/07/2008 21:39

Oh mittens it will be fine. Honestly - it's the best thing I ever did. If you have any pain you can take painkillers - I really wouldn't describe anything so far (except the stitch tugging incident) as pain, it's just awkward having to be careful about rolling over in bed. I spent today at soft play with ds for a party and was fine, have been doing gardening.

Where are you booked in?

Piffle · 06/07/2008 21:46

ve had some serious abdo ops. Ectopic rupture which had hideous recovery. Full 6 weeks off driving everything yet I was ok within 2-3 weeks
the GA is a bit like being in a boxing match, it kind of knocks you like the flu but more body wearying.
take lots of painkillers and lots of rest in first 72 hrs that helps loads.
Have you got someone to help properly mittens?
my mum is coming for me as well as inlaws and dp if needed. lots of support

wow pru!

i would ask to see before and after pics but understand if u say no.

mine are currently a FF, am expecting them to go u pa bit once bubs is born, but am hoping shifting 5 stone afterwards will reduce mine to a reasonable size again. but they desperatly need lifting as are saggy despite wearing good bras.

Prufrock · 06/07/2008 22:06

post your address or e-mail me on [email protected] misdee.

Piffle · 06/07/2008 22:24

oh misdee pru has such darling ones now
am so

misdee · 06/07/2008 22:28

have emailed

Monkeytrousers · 06/07/2008 22:38

Both - you probably won';t have a problem as your BMI is below 26 though.

mymittens · 07/07/2008 09:09

Piffle - dh has 3 wks off (may have to work for a while in 3rd wk) so he can help. No one else able to help so he'll be vey busy!

Piffle · 07/07/2008 10:03

those of you who have had nhs reductions... What was the timescale from first GP appt to consultant appt to surgery?
thanks!!!!

OP posts:
mymittens · 07/07/2008 21:13

Prufrock, I know it's really cheeky to ask ,but I'd really like to see before and after pic as i'm getting so scared of the whole thing, even though i do still really want it done!

Piffle · 07/07/2008 21:34

I forget mittens what size are you currently and what do you aim for?
please try not to worry, prufrocks look so worth it!

OP posts:
mymittens · 07/07/2008 21:44

Hi piffle. I'm a 34g/gg at the moment and hoping to go to a d/dd. The rest of of me is a size 12

Piffle · 08/07/2008 07:49

Is yours private mittens? Or nhs?
sorry for questions, when are you having the op?

OP posts:
mymittens · 08/07/2008 08:50

having it done privately so i could choose when to have it done to fit in with dh being able to get time off work. Having it done in about 8 weeks time!!!

Prufrock · 08/07/2008 09:39

e-mail me your address mymittens and I'll send them. It should give you a good idea - I was a 30G and am now DD/E, though they look really small in comparision because they stick out now rather than down.

Anyone else want to see my tits!

misdee · 08/07/2008 09:46

you have great tits!

i want mine done.

seeing your pics has made me more determined to get them done.

even if they shrink to a reasonable size i am getting them uplifted a bit.
