Hi everyone. On Monday, I had surgery to excise an anal fibroepithelial polyp (commonly known as a skin tag). Whilst getting the surgery, they also did rubber band ligation for some internal haemorrhoids. I was given a sick note for 2 weeks by the surgeon. Today is Saturday (so day 5 post-op) and, so far, the pain has been manageable but actual healing has been slow. I’m bleeding during/after BMs and the wound is still leaking/oozing blood/pus. I’m wondering how others who have had this procedure got on? How long did it take for the bleeding/oozing to stop? How long before you could return to work and normal activities? How long before you could return to exercise? Thanks in advance.
