For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I had a dream last night that I suddenly realised I was pregnant and in labour. And luckily, during labour, I found that my tummy had a lid that lifted off, and the baby could be pulled out and the lid put back on, by me, with no discomfort. It was fully dressed and about 4 months old with thick black hair. It smiled and said 'have you decided on a name?'

Why do we not have lids?

Childfree day to work, have deadline of Wednesday to do 6 pictures, please tell me to go away if I'm hanging around talking rubbish about my weirdo dreams.

FrannyandZooey · 16/06/2008 09:16

Oh Wombling what lovely pictures, you have beautiful children Hasn't ds grown!

So far: fruit juice, satsuma, apricot jam

womblingalong · 16/06/2008 09:55

I know Tatties, I am not sure where the time has gone. He has just started to take a couple of steps unaided last week, and is like a speeding bullet if I put him down, heading for everything he shouldn't touch!

LullyOfShallot · 16/06/2008 10:04

Tatties I haven't forgotten your Kiki
just haven't been to Post office, sorry

just dropped off ds at nursery and then deposited myself at doctor's asking for blood test. I had already rung but they said no appointments free. I said "I have just called in on the off chance" but I think I must have had an air of desperation (either that or they just wanted me out of there) as they sent me in to see the nurse immediately. At which point I promptly burst into tears as they were being so kind. Ruddy hell. I can't remember if this is normal late pg stuff OR if am anaemic OR having mental health crisis. I just feel overwhelmed and incompetent.

Oh, your children are gorgeous, Wombling. Do they get the very long necks from your side of the family?

Boco · 16/06/2008 10:32

Oh Franny you poor thing. It is totally normal late pg behaviour though, honestly, it's exhausting - and it's so emotional because you're right at the end with everything about to change. I hope you can get lots of rest and do some nice things for yourself.

womblingalong · 16/06/2008 10:33

Franny, I am sure it is just late pregnancy hormones, don't fret. That is very nice of your surgery. One of my friends made it down to the dentist for an early appointment with 3 week old twins and a 4 year old, only to be told she had the wrong day, and they jus wouldn't fit her in! Buggers. Glad to see they are nicer round your way.

Yes Mrs C, the necks and the markings run in DH's family

FrannyandZooey · 16/06/2008 10:36

they were nice, I must have looked crazed or something because you can't normally get to see the nurse for love nor money
when I rang in the morning they said they could see me at X time but I would have to take the blood down to the hospital myself, which didn't really help
anyway thank you
I don't really remember this bit with dp
I wasn't working
had no children
wasn't in any pain or discomfort really IIRC
I just kind of drifted around watching Bargain Hunt and going for long walks

FrannyandZooey · 16/06/2008 10:36

I mean I don't remember this with ds

doh

Re Meet: In negotiations with DH at the minute.

Guadalupe · 16/06/2008 10:39

but with ds you didn't have ds to look after and you cannot drift atm, you have to focus on your destination, or you might end up at the river instead of gym and you'd have to say, how did we end up here, ds, lets feed the ducks instead. It's much harder work.

I think you are behaving perfectly normally, you may need extra iron but I was on another planet the last few weeks.

Guadalupe · 16/06/2008 10:40

lovely pictures, wombling
