How is he feeling in himself?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/06/2008 17:57

OK NAB, have you done the glass test to rule out Meningitis ?

Measles symptoms here

DOn't panic, most likely to be viral rash

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/06/2008 18:17

[anxious]

forevercleaning · 11/06/2008 18:18

heat rash poss? but check the glass test anyway - hope all is ok

NotABanana · 11/06/2008 18:20

Okay. I am back.

Dh is home and when I told him said it sounded like a heat rash. He had just got out of the shower so could be.

Just went and did the glass test as forgot that and had to get Dh to do it as couldn't get it to go. It fades.

DS2 is moaning (in bed now) and has been a real naughty boy today but he has had a cough and a runny nose for a few days. I will check on him in a bit.

Thanks all.

I should be used to this by now as DS1 was the rashiest baby ever.

Sorry to worry you BALD.

glad panic over

BoysAreLikeDogs · 11/06/2008 18:21

Phew

NotABanana · 11/06/2008 18:26

It is on my mind as we are organising his immunisations having put it off as long as Dh will let me.

Awww NAB

bellavita · 11/06/2008 18:30

DS2 always comes out in pin prick spots usually over his chest, tummy and back when he has had a temperature/cold/cough. It is his body's way of fighting the virus.

Btw - I have had it checked out with the Dr - tis not my own assumption.

NotABanana · 11/06/2008 18:32

Oh, thanks for that bellavita. Feel very silly for panicking now.

OP posts:
bellavita · 11/06/2008 18:35

You seem to be having a really rough time of it lately NAB.

Methinks you could do with some "you time".

If we lived near each other - we could do lunch and compare notes on our Ds's

NotABanana · 11/06/2008 18:41

Oh, both those things would be lovely.

Have car, will travel..............

OP posts:
bellavita · 11/06/2008 18:44

We live a long way from each other!

Just had a look at your profile - Kent is a zillion miles from York.

But there are some nice houses for sale round here if ya wanted to move

NotABanana · 11/06/2008 19:04

I was born in York!

Well whadya know. How spooky is that. I am a Leeds girl really, but been here for 10 years now (lived down south for 3 years prior with DH's job).

NotABanana · 11/06/2008 19:40

I lived in Leeds when I was about 4.

OP posts:
BecauseImWorthIt · 11/06/2008 19:42

I grew up in Leeds! Where are you both from/where did you live? I was in Roundhay, and my dad lives in East Keswick now and my brother and his family in Horsforth.

NotABanana · 11/06/2008 19:44

Steady! You nearly pushed me over then.

I lived in a children's home and don't know the area off the top of my head. If you really want to know I can look in my file.

OP posts:
BecauseImWorthIt · 11/06/2008 19:47

Don't mind me - only being nosey!

(But 2 children's homes near where I lived - one on North Park Avenue and the other on Street Lane, both in North Leeds/Leeds 8)

NotABanana · 11/06/2008 19:49

Do you know their names?

OP posts:
BecauseImWorthIt · 11/06/2008 19:50

Nope, sorry! It was a long time ago that I lived there - I left home for London in 1981.

HaventSleptForAYear · 11/06/2008 19:51

Skipping the asides, my DS2 has this rash at the moment.

Apparantly it's from sun exposure. Got ticked off by doc and have had to get the factor 50 out.

It is on the exposed parts of his body, arms, legs, back of neck.

We have a v. mild cortisone cream to clear it up.

bellavita · 11/06/2008 20:15

BIWI - lol

My parents live in Cookridge now. I grew up just down the road from Horsforth.

Which school did you go to then BIWI? I went to Abbey Grange and then on to Airedale & Wharfedale College.
