Steve died at 10.30 in Jo's arms where he belonged.

I have spoken to her & she asked me to let you all know. Her dear friend Tracey is with her.

God he put up a good fight & I for one feel honored to have known him & his family.

OJ, I am sure that today is a bittersweet one. I know that you didn't want Steve to suffer. How wonderful that you were able to bring Fathers' Day forward. Be kind to yourself, now, and allow yourself to grieve. xx

berolina · 09/06/2008 11:36

Rest in peace, much-loved brave Steve.

OJ, my thoughts are with you and the children.

Kewcumber · 09/06/2008 11:37

that the last ten months has been inevitably leading to this point doesn't make it any less shocking or so terribly sad.

Will be thinking of you all today.

RosaLuxembourg · 09/06/2008 11:37

So sorry OJ. I will be thinking of you today and wishing you and the children the strength you need to get you through the difficult times ahead. I hope you will be able to take comfort in the fact that thanks to you, Steve completed his final journey in the way every one of us would wish to do so if we could choose - surrounded by the love and devotion of the people he loved best in the world.

RustyBear · 09/06/2008 11:37

sweetmonkey · 09/06/2008 11:42

I wish there was something i could say which would have any sort of meaning or comfort, but there isnt.

i am so sorry for your loss but i guess it must be a great feeling to know that he held on for his girls birthdays and for the fathers day you gave him.

Also that your Steve will live on through your children.

Love to you all

Claire

You fought long and hard Steve, and it was so special that you hung to see your childrens birthdays, but now you are in peace.

I never knew you, but over the last few months you, Jo, and the children have been in my thoughts, and I've admired the way that you were together as a family till the last.

My love to you OJ and family, and wishing you strength over the next hours, days, and months.

lilibet · 09/06/2008 11:42
