Steve died at 10.30 in Jo's arms where he belonged.

I have spoken to her & she asked me to let you all know. Her dear friend Tracey is with her.

God he put up a good fight & I for one feel honored to have known him & his family.

Jo, Steve's strength and courage touched a lot of people during his life - some he knew, some he didn't. I, like others, have followed your journey and stand in admiration at your bravery. Take the time that you need now - our thoughts are with you and your children.

worrybum · 09/06/2008 14:59

OJ I have only posted once before on one of your threads but have been aware of your family's sad but courageous journey. I just wanted to say how very sorry I am to hear that your Steve has passed away and hope that you will be able to take some comfort from the fact that he and his love for you all will live on through you and your children.

electricbarbarella · 09/06/2008 15:02

Our thoughts are with you.xx

LaDiDaDi · 09/06/2008 15:03

I've just seen this.

So very sad.

I hope that Steve is resting in peace.

davidtennantsmistress · 09/06/2008 15:06

I am so sorry for your loss.

scaryteacher · 09/06/2008 15:15

OJ, I have followed your threads but not posted as I couldn't find the right words.

I am so sorry that you have lost Steve and that you didn't have enough time with him. I don't think that any of us are really prepared for this to happen.

You can be proud of yourself for living the true meaning of in sickness and in health, and I am certain that Steve felt cherished to his last moments. You can be proud of Steve (as I am sure you are) for getting to the girls' birthday and after; and of your children for the way they have dealt with this.

I'd just like to say keep on keeping on for yourself and the children and I am thinking of you.

JRocks · 09/06/2008 15:16

weblette · 09/06/2008 15:16

OJ ... I think you define what it means to be a wife, mother, woman. Wishing you and your children peace, calm and strength over the coming days, weeks, months and years. Hope you can take some comfort from the knowledge that at that moment, Steve was exactly where he wanted to be ... with the people he loves most in the world.

Thinking of you xxx
