Steve died at 10.30 in Jo's arms where he belonged.

I have spoken to her & she asked me to let you all know. Her dear friend Tracey is with her.

God he put up a good fight & I for one feel honored to have known him & his family.

May Steve rest in peace finally free of this horrific disease. OJ your loss must be so great I can't even imagine what your family have been through, the strength and love from you all has been truely amazing.

lucyellensmum · 09/06/2008 13:09

There is no more pain now - just peace and serenity. OJ i am so sorry for your loss, but relieved that Steve has no more pain. I'm pleased you were able to be there with him, to hold him so he wasn't scared. A love like yours will truly never die and he will live on in your heart and your children.

So very very sorry

mother3 · 09/06/2008 13:09

Oj i believe you will see steve again. In your dreams and heart and he will be there when its your turn to pass over.It is a sad end to a love. You should be so proud of giving steve your love and children.THey will cope with you as there mum.It will be hard for you to be your self as you have had a very sad year.JUst keep your focus on you and children.Dont let steves family bully you any more. They dont deserve you as thier daughter in law .They have behaved in a terrible manner. They should be ashamed of them selves. He knew you was there. Its so touching he had a tear from his eyes,.THat means he didnt want to go but had to.He is probally looking down on you all now smilling and pain free.God bless.Hope the children are o.k.It will be very sad for them but keep talking of steve and happy times.xxx

RIP Steve. You will be mourned by hundreds (if not thousands) of MNers who "knew" you through OJs accounts of your strength, love and courage. A rare and truly good man, he will live on through your wonderful wife and children.
