Quick! What do the girls like?

Is this ok? I think you said one of them liked to watch it.

OJ, I've managed to log in from Devon, and I'm so sorry things have deteriorated. You must be anxious to cling on to every last second. I'm so sorry. The MN Collective is here for you whenever you need us.

All the hoodlums are thinking of you. x

brucelovesfrumpygrumpy · 02/06/2008 19:35

Empty yourself of everything you want Steve to know and remember to tell him that you know he loves you all. Darling, if I could give you a tight hug I would. Love from me.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 02/06/2008 19:43

Darling, darling girl.

It feels like there is an echo in here, but we are all here for you.

lemonadesparkle · 02/06/2008 19:52

OJ, I have never replied on one of your threads as I rarely/never post on mn (but I read alot ) and I have been following your journey and now feel compelled to post. You come across as a truly amazing woman and your love for your family and Steve can never be disputed it is clear for all to see.

I lost my mum to Leukaemia and although it is not the same illness as your dh has I recognise an awful lot of what you and he are going through. We had been told that she had 24hrs left on 2 occasions and yet she was determined to see her son's child born having been there to meet her daughter's children (mine & my sister's). It is amazing what the human spirit can achieve against the odds and I keep seeing this in your posts about Steve.

My mum slipped into a coma 4 days before she finally left us and 3 days after the birth of her new grandchild. We were all concerned that she would go on my father's birthday but in the end she slipped away 3 hours before the turn of the day with her children and childhood friend at her side (our father did not want to be there in the end), whilst we chatted, reminisced and laughed around her as if our hearts weren't breaking.

The reason I am sharing this (and I hope you don't mind)is that I believe my mum had an untimely death but a good one infact a beautiful and dignified one. I know when Steve's time comes it will be the same. Good and loving people die before we are ready to let them go but I like to think they get the death they deserve and that has brought me comfort and I hope and pray it will you too.

You, Steve and your darling children are in my thoughts daily. Wishing you strength and Steve peace.

TheMadHouse · 02/06/2008 19:52

NotABanana · 02/06/2008 20:00

Thinking of you as always.

Weegiemum · 02/06/2008 20:00

Oh OJ. for you all. When I woke up this morning so early with you all in my mind I had a funny feeling that today would not bring good news.

I pray for peace and strength for you all tonight and for however long you have left with Steve. And for the time beyond that as well - I have no idea what to wish for you, but you know that we are all here, standing with you, doing what little we can.

I hope tonight is peaceful and calm, and that you will have all the strength you need to get through.

With love, weegie xxx

Izabella · 02/06/2008 20:02

OJ sweetie, I hope that the uninvited visitor behaves! Its so heartbreaking when someone tells you in no uncertain terms that the love of your life is going to die. As much as you try and prepare yourself, it is still a huge blow. A very big ((((((hug)))))) to you. Its such a painful road to walk, but there will be a sense of release when its over. I remeber waking up the morning after and being almost happy that Mark wasn't suffering anymore and that he was finally free of the cancer. Call me anytime on my mobile (as I am away from home tonight). xxx
