Help - Mole with dark spots - Image Included

Hi.

I’ve had this mole on my stomach for ever. Can’t remember not having it.
Ive just noticed today there are what looks like black spots on it. The shape doesn’t seem to changed but never had these spots before.
has anyone else had this? What was it? I’m panicking.
have a doctor app for next tue but going to be worrying.

Whatever it is, your GP won't have any answers and will need to refer you to dermatology. My GP (I'm in NI) has a service where they can send a text and you can respond with pics. I'm sure if you send them pics they would refer you tomorrow rather than next week? It might work differently elsewhere though.

when I got appointment for next Tuesday I emailed in photos for the GP
I called again after sending email to ask if there’s anyway GP could have a look before Friday as if getting referred to dermatology could we please do it this week.

There’s an app that correctly identified a cancerous mole on my ex. I noticed it had changed, on looking at it the dermatologist said it was likely fine but biopsy confirmed bcc. They cut it out and he is fine. Sorry I can’t remember the name of the app but it basically saved his skin. Worth a look

that’s great you noticed it. Glad to hear your ex was okay.

The dark spots look like open pores. Not nice I know, but they look like blackheads. Are you sure it's not just something stuck in the pores?

I’ve never had anything like this before.
The black dots are inside the mole. ive tried wiping them away but doesn’t do anything

Have a look for the Skin Vision app. It costs about £45 a year but you get a couple of free scans.

It looks like a seborrheic keratosis to me. I am not a professional but have a few of these myself. If you google and look at images there are some that look similar. But, I am no expert.

That’s an excellent picture - did you take it with an iPhone? I would have to try to squeeze those black bits out as like a PP I think they look very much like blackheads. It is very unpleasant waiting for an appt for something like this. I hope you get action soon.

yes it was an iPhone and not even one of the newer ones 😂
I took it myself too, didn’t realise it was such a good camera either.
I couldn’t squeeze it, the photo makes me feel sick never mind the thought of touching it

I’d wait for the doctor’s appointment. I’ve had about twenty moles removed and they were all fine. The one my gp said was cancerous turned out not to be and it was nothing like yours at all, more like a pale skin tag.

I definitely wouldn’t squeeze it!

Also not a HCP but I wonder whether it’s a seborrhic keratosis with globules.

it does look a little like the keratosis but it’s been there since I was a child and just today noticed it had changed appearance with the spots in it.
trying not to panic but can’t help it.

I have a mole exactly like this got seen at dermatology and doctor said it was fine. Obviously get checked out though x

I agree, looks very typical of SK, I am 78 and have loads of these on my torso, shoulders and back, some darker than others. But I’m sure your GP will be able to advise, and if concerned, will refer you to Dermatology.

My child has these dark black hard speccles on his mole. Does this look concerning to anyone else? He is only five years old and we always apply sunscreen, but I'm still worried.

Does anyone have an idea what this could be I don’t have insurance cause work insurance sucks and I’m sure a dermatologist is crazy expensive it doesn’t itch or bleed it’s perfectly round and it’s not jagged or anything but I swear that black spot was not there before

I've got one like this. Had it 20 years. Did grow bigger for a bit. The black bits hot wore. Had it checked and photographed. Said it was from the wart family! I pick thr boys off as they build up! Might get it checked on now it's been some years
