For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I had something very like this last summer, franny, and was very worried for a while as I had had a (false, as it turned out) negative chicken pox immunity test in my previous pregnancy. They disappeared after a while and we never did work out what they were.
Btw, I have put a pic on my profile (have accidentally worked out resizing ) of me in the skirt at roughly 32 weeks. The angle of the pic makes my bump look a lot smaller than it was. The other picture shows a bit of what it was actually like at that stage. Please feel free to say 'oh no, that is hideous, I don't want it' (although I rather like it ).

Well, if you've done the meningitis glass test and that's okay then I'd just wait and see. Probably be gone by the morning.

The eye....hmm. We haven't been given examination date although it is supposed to be next week. Have chased and he's

not even on a list. So must chase further after weekend. He has been covering his eye almost constantly the last 2 days

So are you Avi!

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 22:29

oh, it's very pretty, but I think it is almost certainly too long for me
I tried on some skirts that length the other day and they just looked AWFUL - not sure why - I can sometimes wear long skirts when not pg but I think it is the combination of enormous middle section and kind of tailored lower section maybe
thank you for thinking of it anyway

Oh TooT

FWIW ds1 (then a bf 19mo) was sick twice, and otherwise utterly fine (up and playing at 4ym ), at NYE the year before last while I lay there incapable of anything at all save rushing to the bathroom for 24hrs.

TooTicky · 24/05/2008 22:31

Good

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 22:31

is it the light bothering him TooT? chasing sounds extremely wearing

no I am not sure it's not cp - he's certainly been exposed to it lately - but it doesn't look like any cp I have ever seen
spots are very small and only red, no fluid at all

Franny I am 5'1", it might be okay on you

TooTicky · 24/05/2008 22:32

I am not even contemplating the possibility of adult susceptibility to this one!

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 22:32

yes aren't I late! can have a lie in tomorrow and Monday
bed not exceptionally comfy right now anyway so not exactly beckoning

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 22:33

unless it's meant to be knee length, bero, it won't suit me atm, but thank you

TooTicky · 24/05/2008 22:33

Yes Franny, the light bothers him immensely.
He is also looking more bruised than before

FrannyandZooey · 24/05/2008 22:35

it must all be very tender

I don't know what length it's meant to be tbh. It is not short short. Petite ranges are unheard of here, so I wear what I think looks sort-of OK and hope the effect is not amusing, which undoubtedly is sometimes is
I will send the dresses though

berolina · 24/05/2008 22:45

avi, there is a controversy about changing a nappy on a cafe table at a farm park, which I found oddly fascinating while trying to feed ds2 (who has been feeding like a newborn today ) to sleep so I could go and have a bath. sorry, lame, I know

TooTicky · 25/05/2008 08:15

I need to have a quick whine before I face the day.
Dd2 miraculously fine now BUT ds2 in agonies with his eye and can't even open it. Have to take him to A&E. Can't take dd2 because of last night's illness. Dp channelling the bug through his rear end. Ds1 groaning a bit. Dd1 will have to be largely responsible for dd2 until I get back.
I desperately need reinforcements but there aren't any

Am having restorative cup of tea before we go.

FrannyandZooey · 25/05/2008 08:38

Oh TooT
wish we were near enough to help out
you poor poor buggers
hope A+E helpful for ds and that all other members of household stop being ill

OP posts:
TooTicky · 25/05/2008 08:44

Thanks.
Am trying to get ds2 to eat but he won't. Am having visions of suddenly having to stay in again but it won't be like that, will it??
He cries with fear every time I mention the hospital
