DISCLAIMER - I AM NOT SCAREMONGERING

BUT

there are viral things that can attack heart muscle. (used to be cardiac nurse - now am just a powercrazed medical type sister)

If this feeling has not gone by this afternoon go to see the Dr please.

end of orders

please call your GP!!! I sat up all night with 'indigestion' not wanting to bother anyone, was a heart attack. Pre menopausal, non smoker, ideal weight, vegetarian, it can happen to anyone. Or just go to A&E

mousemole · 28/04/2008 13:38

sounds like acid reflux - always worse after illness. Dont know why. Have gaviscon and see what happens.

sallyforth · 28/04/2008 13:45

Cod, Nige is right, go to your doctor and get them to do an ECG today. If they won't then go to A+E and ask for same. As everyone sez its prob indigestion but you need to get it checked out just in case.

winebeforepearls · 28/04/2008 13:51

Cod, it sounds like swollen liver (which I had with hepatitis and which you do not have)

winebeforepearls · 28/04/2008 13:54

(if it's in between yr boobs and just sore)

Is it sorer if you press just under centre of ribcage?

Twinkie1 · 28/04/2008 13:54

I had severe reflux when pregnant and after trying everything was scolded by a little indian doctor - who found me choking up acid over the loo pissing onto towels because I had no control of my nether regions - he said the only thing that will help is eating lots and lots of yogurt and staying away from pastries and chocolate which are the main causes of reflux and indigestion - am fine now as have to take opramazole everyday to stop my stomach producing so much acid but the yogurt really helped!

Do not drink milk btw it is an acid.

Indigestion?

Wind, then.

noddyholder · 29/04/2008 11:52

Still keep an eye on it as I was misdiagnosed twice with indigestion.

Madlentileater · 29/04/2008 12:14

sorry to go on, but my gp misdiagnosed me, only ecg revealed heart attack
