Tiny red spots on skin

Hey,
As the title suggests - I have teeny tiny red spots on skin. Mainly upper arms. Noticed during summer. Forgot about them but health anxiety making me notice them again. Does anyone else have similar?

Have a look online at Campbell de Morgan’s spots.
You don’t say how old you are OP but they’re associated with getting older.
they’re benign, just cosmetic.

Thanks for your reply. They aren't as obvious as that. Just pin prick size and red. Tony broken capillaries I think but worrying about clotting issues

I've had these all my life 🤷‍♀️ I've noticed them mostly on my upper arms and chest. I'm pretty pale and have noticed them on other pale people too.

I have these. They're significantly smaller than the Campbell de morgan spots. I have hundreds and hundreds. Gp isn't concerned.

Sounds like petechiae

ChocNice · 19/10/2024 14:11

I get these after a virus if I’m a bit run down

Thank you. How long do they take to go?

I have a good few what seems like hundred of these, mainly over arms, chest and back. Had blood tests but nothing sinister, doctor says just my skin and getting older (I'm now 40). Happened to mention to my mum who said she has them as well.

It's probably this xx lots of treatments out there if it bothers you but cerave moisturising cream really helps mine as it has an exfoliator in too x

Don’t worry! I have been exactly where you are (if you search on here I’m sure you will find the threads, with photos). I still have 100s of pin prick red spots. They are different (I think) to the keratosis pilaris I have elsewhere. Just tiny red dots. They come and go but mostly just stay!
I don’t worry about them at all any more but they did panic me (I have health anxiety too, it’s under control at the moment though thank goodness).
Definitely nothing to worry about.

Here’s a link to a thread I was on before about this (name changed since then), which also links to an earlier one with photos I think

Thank you so much. Mine look exactly the same, phew! Annoyingly, my health anxiety STOPS me from going to the drs so I usually just spiral but this has really helped.

thank you

Oh I’m so pleased it’s helped you. It took me a while to feel comfortable that they really are nothing, but it’s been 2.5 years since I first noticed them and I’m
100% fine.
I’ve just checked again and I still have loads 😊
