I’m on day 7 in hospital after a routine walk in procedure infected me with ecoli which travelled up my tubes and turned into a 7cm abscess attached to my tubes and intestines, then turned to sepsis.
I’m on the strongest antibiotics known to man. I’ve been sick every day, can’t keep food down, got the shits, pain in my abdomen. I never thought it was possible to feel this bad still be alive. Just looking for words of encouragement. This has been the most mentally and physically challenging week of my life.

Yes I had sepsis in October 2020 I was told weeks later I'd got to the hospital just in time that night thanks to my son who heard me retching and got up to check on me as he'd gone to bed late....
I had a uti which got worse after taking a three day antibiotic I was told I developed severe peritonitis and then sepsis I had many symptoms and I vividly remember my pain going away when I closed my eyes as I could feel myself drifting and strangely wanted to go with it knowing if I did I was going to die but my ds kept waking me and got help
Very weird for me as I've had anxiety about death since I was a child and have a fear of death to this day
I was in hospital for nearly three weeks and I'd say it took me six months before I felt back to myself again..hope you recover very soon op
