Sorry today hasn't been the best for Steve. I hope that his trifle consumption climbs tomorrow. How are you sleeping OJ? Or need I ask? Hope you get some rest this evening. Yesterday sounded really busy with Steve's brother coming plus all the bits of medication that you have to sort and bringing the night carers up to speed. Call me tonight if you feel awake enough to chat. xxx

step away from the soup, i dread steve saying he wants soup cos he wont have it in a cup and he doesn't have the co-ordination to feed himself without the bed looking like a peice of modern artwork
he had a bit of tirimisu tonight which he enjoyed so i am hoping he will have some more tomorrow.
he is very confused today and asked me to make sure i warmed his tablets up fpr him.

OJ I'm glad you have held your head high in the face of lunacy adversity. I imagine your MIL is most embarrassed, not that you'll get to see that.

Can you put Complan in trifle - if you mix it into the custard, maybe?

Clearly Steve is going upmarket with his tiramisu, or at least going on a dessert tour of Europe. Now is the time to stock up on baclava and, er, Swiss roll!

i have brought some smoothies, steve thinks he is a smootie he keeps inviting the night nurse into his bed
we have carol our lovely night nurse tonight and tomorrow she always brings goodies, thou she is not into bed sharing!
all of the staff we have had have been amazing with us all the kids are getting used to the regular staff and i am feeling ok about having someone else in the house 24/7 thou having a soak in the bath feels strange, i need to get some nice bubble bath and try and relax but it is odd all the same.
abbey is still poorly and i am hoping steve doesn't get the bug and that i dont get it either i can't really be poorly right now.

i have just dine the morphine run and i am hoping that steve will sleep for a few hours as i am feeling tired and i know elliot will be up at 5am

....but have just spent the last 20mins or so reading through every post/reply, I now have the jist of what this is all about.

abbey is better today. I feel terrible I have bad back pain so will be avoiding lifting Steve as I can't afford to be laid up waiting for another disc op.
Steve is asleep, the kids all need a bath and I have two beds to change.I promised elliot he could spend his birthday money today so I am hoping to feel better soon, I will go and have a hot soak in the bath and see if that helps ease my back.

Morning OJ. Yes a nice hot Radox bath should do the trick. Hope Steve is feeling a lot better today and up to eating trifle or even Tirimisu. Glad Abbey is feeling better now and I hope Elliot gets something good with his B/day money.

Steves right side is much worse he has little control over his right arm and hand he did have a bit of trifle earlier and he was quite happy to let me feed it to him.

Steve has been making us laugh tonight it took me and the carer half an hour to get him to take 6 tablets, he was being very crafty and hiding them under his toungue or on the roof of his mouth or spitting them into his drink.
