OJ, I am beyond words. How dare she come into your house and accuse you of giving Steve an overdose. How dare she say that Steve wants a divorce. What planet is his sister on??? . I think you are wise to have others there with you, who can step in & draw the line. You shouldn't have to feel scared in your own home, I admire the fact that you are still willing to let her back in your house. I'm sure others would not be so forgiving. Please call me tonight if you want to chat. You need to know that there are plenty of us who are supporting you & right behind you. xxx

onlyjoking9329 · 10/04/2008 21:43

i feel very blessed to have so much support here
we have had a busy day, steve me and the kids and carer had a fish & chip supper, steve managed a few chips
i have sorted out a few nights for mates to come round so i feel safer with that.
steve is much weaker and struggling to hold his head up, i don't know how long steve has left, it is elliots birthday in 2 weeks time and he says dad can't die before then as he has to have some birthday cake with him.
i haven't heard anything from his family today
the carer that was here last night told me today that his sister and brother were telling steve he needed to go and live with them, steve told them he was staying here where he belongs

Awww for elliott and the girls

Steve is where he should be, OJ, his family surely know that deep down [half wits]

Bless you sweetheart, sweet dreams tonight

lucyellensmum · 10/04/2008 23:17

OJ, when my uncle was at home, his family restricted sisters visits to five minutes only because he got tired so quickly. Is that something you could try with the family from hell?

OJ you probably know this song but it is so wonderful I had to share it with you. Chin up honey, one day at a time. Enjoy your wonderful family

Solitaire · 11/04/2008 00:15

Take care OJ

bamamama · 11/04/2008 11:18

Hope you're having a good day today OJ and that Steve's family are keeping their distance. People do go weird when things like this happen but that just don't seem to have any sense about what Steve might want.

Wishing you and your family some peaceful times.

NotABanana · 11/04/2008 15:20

God that 2 weeks comment really made me

I didn't realise until yesterday that Steve had cancer (Sorry. ) I had thought it was a brain tumour.

I am so sorry for you all. This is just too cruel.

I am glad your carers are lovely and spying looking out for you.

Izabella · 11/04/2008 19:37

OJ, So glad you have a lovely carer with you (and one that will share chocolate oranges with you), it makes all the difference. Thank God she overheard what Steve really said about staying at home where he belongs. Hopefully that put a sock in their deluded rantings. Sorry, not meaning to be disrespectful but you so don't need the grief that Steve's family throw at you, especially with everything else else that's going on.

I really hope that Steve makes it to Elliot's birthday and beyond. I know you've said it would be devastating if he die close to one of the kid's birthdays. I'll pray this won't happen. xxx

ShinyPinkShoes · 11/04/2008 20:48

Hoping, praying and wishing you all many happy days ahead with Steve x

Tickle · 11/04/2008 21:30

Hi OJ - can I apply to come and be a carer please?? I'm sure I would fit right it... I could:
(a) be appropriately severe with Steve's family
(b) make you lots of lovely drinks and most importantly
(c) I am brill at sharing choccy oranges
