Breast lump

On Monday I noticed quite a large breast lump while examining myself. I felt extremely anxious and barely slept at all that night.

yesterday morning I managed to get a doctors appointment. He examined me thoroughly and said he felt the lump and a smaller one and the same breast but that both felt mobile which is often reassuring. He has referred me to the breast clinic on the 2 week pathway. I initially felt more reassured after the appointment.

Today I received a call to book me into the breast clinic next Thursday and I am feeling really anxious again. I do suffer with health anxiety - it is even on my doctors notes!
My head keeps going to worse case scenarios and I am so scared. 😟

Oh yes, I am definitely in need of a drink this evening! 😃

I literally cried almost all the way to the hospital. I was so scared and it felt like a big weight had been lifted after the cyst was confirmed.
My boob is a little sore now though!

Good luck to all that have appointments coming up. It is such an anxious time. X

So relieved for you! I hope you sleep well tonight xx

It really does feel like a massive weight has been lifted and I slept a lot better. I was exhausted last night so had a very early night.

I know I have to go back for the scan and am prepared for the mammogram to see something, especially as there is likely at least one other cyst in there, but I feel so much better.

All the staff at the breast clinic were really lovely.

I imagine you feel very relieved. Great news!

I do feel very relieved. It was such a stressful week.

I am now wondering about the results of the mammogram as I imagine they will just pick up my remaining cysts as lumps so I need to prepare myself for that.
I am waiting on a date to go back for the ultrasound. Such a shame I couldn’t get that done and out of the way on Thursday.

I guess I need to prepare myself for more of these cysts to pop up. I have read they are very common in perimenopause. The doctor said that they often appear very suddenly.

❤️❤️❤️ that's brilliant news!

Just got my letter from last week’s appointment. The bigger cyst was 2cm and 6ml of brown fluid was aspirated from it.

I am still waiting for an appointment for the ultrasound to check the other one.
