Help please! An unexpected lump!

For roughly two weeks i’ve had this lump in the top fold of my thigh, it doesn’t feel completely solid but is causing occasional pain. I’ve tried a hot compress it seemed to reduce the size a little bit however, after not using the hot compress it seems to have come back to its original size. Could anyone help direct me to what this might be and what to do for it!

I would arrange to see your doc tomorrow ( in my surgery it would be a phone in for an emergency on the day apt) and ask them to have a look. It could be anything at all but try not to worry. I understand that we all do especially this late at night. Try to get some sleep!

Unsure to when i’d be able to get an appointment i’m currently not home and feels unnecessary to phone over my situation. If i started using the hot compress on it for a few days straight do you think it may clear up?

Sounds like a swollen lymph node. Generally nothing to worry about

Ive had a look on google about them they seem to be a lump under the skin, mine seems to have a slightly red/purple mark on the top if that info makes it any different. Thank you though!

Yes! I’ve had a look at that couldn’t find much of an explanation tho. The picture that was uploaded on that post it’s pretty much exactly the same as i am, i have a photo but pretty sure no one is wanting to see lol.

Prob just a cyst/ingrown hair. I get them sometimes. I’d just keep it clean and leave it alone basically.
