Apart from labour

I’ve had some pretty nasty migraines that were more painful than my 2 c section recoveries!

What’s the worst pain you’ve ever been in & how long did it last?

Migraine for me. They can be hideously painful. Feels like your head will explode.

Gallstone attack. Unbelievable pain. Dh said I looked like I'd aged 20 years! It lasted that bad for about an hour and a half. Painkillers didn't touch it.

The worst was when a tooth cracked splitting the nerve. Horrific. Begged the dentist receptionist to fit me in to see my lovely dentist. He knows I’m v nervy about going so knew it was serious. Luckily it was short lived. Unbelievable pain.
Recovery when my c section split open and infected within a few days of having Ds. Was in a side room on the ward for a week with Ds at home with dh as I was so ill. Hearing all the babies crying broke my heart, particularly as every new cleaner/nurse/dr asked where my baby was. One of the drs there removed the dressings by ripping it off really hard, removing my skin and some stitches and told me the pain wasn’t that bad, to stop being dramatic. They had to treat that like a burn. Fucking sadist wanker.

Labour tops it for me, but dislocating my knee is just as bad as well, I had morphine for that

I've been through quite a few painful things, but weirdly the worst one I ever had by far was ripping one of my nails completely out of it's nail bed. I was in a car crash, unfortunately had acrylic nail extensions at the time and one of them got bent back and ripped out my nail with it on impact. It was excruciating and was the only thing I could feel, all my other injuries didn't even register. I've honestly never felt pain like it. Luckily my nail did actually grow back but it took ages and was sore for a really long time. I will never have acrylics ever again
