For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oooh cake fest sounds marvellous MrsC

for LL's DS!

Agree about white poo and bile, Boco. When I had gall bladder ishoos when pg with DS my poo went white. Rather horrifying but it's because bile helps you digest fat and it's when that's not happening that it goes white. Hope she's better soon.

For anyone with small DS's, DH bought DS a chunky calculator yesterday and he hasn;t put it down since He is fascinated with it.

I am supposed to be doing boring but important jobs and I'm in a state of collapse and denial on the sofa eating cake

pinkspottywellies · 25/02/2008 15:56

Ball and cake and pedalling sound wonderful.

DD has inscisors coming through and it's hard

filthymindedvixen · 25/02/2008 16:41

I empathise Pink - I have a wisdom tooth coming through and it's agony!

UnderRated · 25/02/2008 18:58

My wisdom tooth came half way through and then stopped. So I now have 27 1/2 teeth but I do empathise with your DD, PSW.

Hope your DD is better. It's along time sonce I saw white poo, human or otherwise.

Blueberries, carrots, zucchini, apple, banana, raisins so far.

FrayedKnot · 25/02/2008 19:57

Is that Franny still swanning about in London buying posh maternity frocks d'ya think?

I've had dried fruit, bowl of fruit salad, carrot, watercress, rocket & spinach salad, lentil moussaka with salad. And two large pieces of apple cake

FrannyandZooey · 25/02/2008 20:15

I have just swanned back
I think I am still full from Sunday afternoon - my god 3 hours of cake eating, it was marvellous
MrsC missed out the best sandwich which was grated cheese, and tomato on basil bread. I wanted a whole plate full. Actually this is probably why MrsC omitted to mention them - because she didn't get one
anyway it was marvellous and we must do it again and not be so shy about asking for more. We must say YES WE DO want more scones and be proud.

I have bought things. I am tired. I have laughed lots and lots about the helium inhaling and then I am afraid to say I laughed at the white poo, which was really no laughing matter. I hope she is ok, Boco.

pinkspottywellies · 25/02/2008 20:21

The white poo was absolutely not funny Frances. We can only assume that your already pregnancy addled brain has been further addled by cake!!!! Please refrain from such hilarity [stern]

(but the helium and the drunken hysterics on the coach did make for a funny story!!!!)

I don't suppose anyone wants to know I just ran for 25 mins? Need to do better on the f&v though.

UnderRated · 25/02/2008 20:49

at all the cakes and sandwiches

lionheart · 26/02/2008 08:00

Hello.

Glad you had a lovely time Franny and MrsC.

lionheart · 26/02/2008 08:01

Oh, I just realised I missed tatties as well.

FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 08:37

how are you now lionheart? we were sorry to miss you...

have had banana, kiwi, melon, grapes, raisins

I had quite 10 / 10 ish food in London apart from cake. Honest, I did

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 08:50

oh PLUS watched a film called 'My Blueberry Nights' which surely counts as one of my 10

OP posts:
lionheart · 26/02/2008 09:09

Am good-ish but miffed to have missed the cake and larks and all that.

FrayedKnot · 26/02/2008 15:58

Franny was film good?

We are going to cinema possibly on Friday.

Have just had scary experience involving DS running off when we were out and I was puffing up hill carrying tricycle, shopping, library books, bike helmet & allsorts, and school run mother stopping and rolling down window and saying "is that you son round the corner because he is just crossing the road"

Road is small but at school run time is horribly busy and DS is really unreliable with roads.

In fact he had not crossed it, but was waiting 2cm away from it teetering on the edge

Was cross and felt like sobbing all at the same time

FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 16:26

oh flip FK that must have been dreadful - the moments of waiting to see if your child is in fact dead or maimed are always hideous

the film was ok. It was Jude Law and Norah Jones - they were both mildly annoying but you quite got to like them by the end. Jude Law has really unfeasibly and shuddery hairy arms Otherwise undeniably pretty though [sigh] shame he is such a cad

anyway it dragged a little in places and it was as if it couldn't quite decide what it was actually about, so it told several people's stories in succession. It was gently-paced, charming in places, some interesting parts. I wasn't wowed by it.

Now have you seen Juno? If not, go and see Juno. After you get past the first 5 minutes it is a delight.

OP posts:
lionheart · 26/02/2008 17:58

Is Jude law a cad? He looks quite charming.

UnderRated · 26/02/2008 18:42

That sounds scary FK. My DS bolted towards the doors of the grocery store last week whilst I was struggling with too many shopping bags. I ended up bellowing "DS STOP RIGHT NOW" in a big scarey voice and everyone turned and stared I don't think he would havbe run into the carpark but I wasn't 100% convinced. Annoyingly, no-one tried to stop him, they just smiled as he legged it toward the exit

I really want to see Juno.

Raisins, 2 bananas, spinach, felafel & Hummus so far. Perhaps a bit heavy on the chickpeas today.

FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 18:43

God ds is being a twit . Sorry, that is by the by

erm, yes, I think he is, isn't he? I mean one doesn't want to believe what one reads in the trashy papers, but I think it was quite widely documented that he shagged his children's nanny, was that it? And he had been married to that very nice-seeming Sadie person at the time. I think. I may of course have got him completely mixed up with some other nanny-shagging sleb, but I am pretty sure Mr Law is Not A Good Boy.

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 26/02/2008 18:45

He wasn't with Sadie Frost then, he was with Sienna Millar when he shagged the nanny, apparently.

MrsCarrot · 26/02/2008 18:46

I overheard this while I was reading, um, something very literary.

FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 18:47

Oh god yes sorry
it is his and Sadie's children, is that right?
but the clinching detail for me, was that they found out because one of the children walked in and found them - but he still never owned up - he waited for the child to tell the mum and then all hell broke loose! the utter coward and cad

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 18:48

yes I was erm in an art gallery
being cultured
someone walked past with a tabloid and I just read it over their shoulder

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 26/02/2008 18:50

do you know that always happens to me, a quick glance on the bus and I have a photographic memory for celebrity information.

FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 18:54

Oh no I saw it on an aeroplane
in first class

so whaddya think though? Cad or what? he is very very beautiful though isn't he? Except the frightening, hairy arms

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 26/02/2008 18:55

errr

they don't have first class on aeroplanes, do they?
