I am ill. Before now I have been able to boast that "I am hardly ever ill".
Last week my voice went and I was off work Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday I went in and I was more or less told to go home as I was coughing everywhere. I couldn't sleep at night for coughing. I really thought I was getting better but this week I am so congested I can't decide which is the worst part of this and it seems to be dragging on and on........ I can't breathe!

Ds is coughing to such an extent he is throwing up. He missed DD's nativity play on Tuesday for preschoolers. DH & I are going tomorrow to watch and ds is going to his friends house as friend has got it as well, his mum thinks they may as well be ill together!!

foxinsocks · 08/12/2004 11:28

I too, like MrsDoobaubles, have been boasting that I am hardly ever ill (silly me!) and of course, I now have a lovely chesty, mucousy cough (courtesy of ds). Ever time I cough, it feels like my head is going to split in two (I think this is because I said last week 'I never get headaches'!). Just for my sins, I have two dinners I have to go to this week as well.

MrsDoobaubles · 08/12/2004 11:54

Sory to hear it SantClausFrau. Cuddle up with a hot water bottle.

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 08/12/2004 12:43

I pulled a muscle in my right arm/shoulder whilst shopping last week and it's still not better. What a ridiculous injury!

Eowyn · 08/12/2004 12:51

I'm another one who foolishly was claiming my vitamins etc stopped me getting ill...now dd had temperature & cough over weekend & I've got it & feel so crap, whole body hurts, feel awful, & when I can sleep she's up coughing all night (with occasional sick thrown in). How long is it going to go on for...

turquey · 08/12/2004 13:03

I've had a horrible sick headache for 4 days, it's not a migraine but it's foul and no pills will shift it.
Re the vitamins - everytime I get enthusiastic and bung my kids a multivit, I can guarantee that they'll come down with something within a week.

MrsDoobaubles · 08/12/2004 13:05

That's my story Eowyn.
Whinge away SantaClausfrau, that's what we are here for Smile
I have been trying to ring all morning to ring work and tell them but nobody is answering Sad

AimsmumTheRedNoseReindeer · 08/12/2004 13:18

santaclausfrau - you have our permission to put on a video for DS and to cuddle up with a hot water bottle and chocolate.Smile
But I would swap you playmobile for barbies anyday. I hate Barbie!!!!! Grin
Hope you all feel better soon

turquey · 08/12/2004 13:19

Thanks for the sympathy MrsD Smile
What a treat you have in store if you haven't encountered playmobil yet.

MrsDoobaubles · 08/12/2004 13:25

Is it bad?

OP posts:
turquey · 08/12/2004 13:44

Actually I quite like it but there's lots of it, quite small, spreads rapidly over a wide surface area and has a tendency to completely bggr the hoover if you're not careful Grin

turquey · 08/12/2004 13:46

OOps. That would be bugger. Prudish clearly doesn't work for me.
