It’s a bum one…

I hope I’ve posted in the correct place and if this is TMI!

cut a long story short I’ve suffered with my stomach for coming to 10 years. Two operations as I had a tangled stomach and grumbling appendicitis. First operation failed due to how tangled everything was.

anyway, I’ve never been the same since.

fast forward to 2020 I began suffering with haemorrhoids, intense itching and minor bleeding. Had them handed a short while after and was successful.

last year they came back with one being thrombosed and I had awful bleeding, had to wear a sanitary towel and after applying cream it shrunk and disappeared.

anyway, for a long time now (unclear how long but has gotten more apparent)

move been very wet down below. If I’m honest I’m unsure if it’s coming from the front or the behind… (I’m swayed towards behind due to past problems)

I could go to the toilet, completely wipe so I’m dry and 10 mins later I’m wet. When I wipe again it’s all clear. No colour. I’ve even smelt it (I’m so sorry) and I can’t smell anything offensive. I still suffer with itching but have not had an external haemorrhoid since last year.

I know this isn’t normal, I’m aware of being uncomfortable daily now.
It’s not leaking through my clothes but my underwear is always damp and in between cheeks I’m wet.

I am going to phone the doctors tomorrow but I just wanted some advice from here first but I’m at a complete loss if this is normal or not?

thank you for reading.

I think you need to figure out where you are bleeding from before anything else. Could you insert a tampon briefly to see if it comes out with blood on it? Then you'll be more sure.

MeinKraft · 21/03/2023 15:17

Oh sorry I've just seen it's not blood! You can get a watery discharge with some vaginal infections, the GP will probably want to take a swab.

RuthTopp · 21/03/2023 15:19

Do you get execma ?
I ask because I've had it there before and have had wetness in the past.

puffinpetra · 21/03/2023 15:19

Piles can cause a mucus/discharge from the bottom.

MissyB1 · 21/03/2023 15:21

Sounds like mucus coming from your bottom. Could be various different causes so you are right to get it checked out by the GP.

Stormydanielss · 21/03/2023 18:22

I had a wet feeling
Nurse had a look (bless her heart 😵‍💫) I had fissures and she said that is why it felt wet (it wasn't it was just the feeling) she gave me cream for them and it cleared up
Try not to get constipated (if you can with your tummy troubles)
My other half calls the cream preparation ouch 🫣😂

I’ve been Googling and seen that. Is it something they can treat?

I believe I had a fissure when I had my banding and they injected Botox.

hopefully all I need is a cream.. but my mind is running wild with worry

Thank you, I will call first thing tomorrow and hopefully get this sorted. Surely there will be something they can do.

Thank you, I’m swaying towards the back end. But GP I’m sure will know for sure after some tests I guess!

Are you peri? I've been having this and it appears to be a sweaty groin..I've got a three on here about it - seems I'm not the only one.

Is it a slimy/jelly texture as well as clear? It does sound like mucous. I have had this a few times especially when constipated. You poor thing sounds like you've suffered a lot!

More slimy than jelly. Like liquid.

it’s been awful at this point I’ve forgotten what it feels like to feel normal down there.

I have an appointment this afternoon so I’m hoping to have some answers/advice

Threadworms? The female worm leaves mucus that is itchy.

LibbyL92 · 06/04/2023 20:17

Hi OP, very stressful time for you. What is an FLT result? I have experience with IBD but not sure what that is?
