Sorry about the caps.

My phone doesn't support all of the Zoe app for blood glucose monitoring. I knew this before I ordered it, knowing, worst case, I'd get get my microbiome done and the blood tests for fat.
@wombat27a

So, what next? Does he have to have the Zoe app and then where do we go?

Once it's on his phone, will it record my blood glucose?

Sorry for appearing so clueless on this.

AND if anyone has a moment, can you take me through DAY 1 as they say this is the busiest day and allow time for it all. What will I have to do?

How much is it? I’m on the waiting list.

Givemestrengthorvodka · 14/01/2023 11:53

Hi all, I'm interested in zoe but trying to weigh up how useful it will be. I probably won't use the app much afterwards so I'm primarily interested in the testing, and that first month of dietary advice.

How useful have you found test results?

Jezzballs2000 · 14/01/2023 20:03

@SnoogyWoo and @Givemestrengthorvodka i have a referral code I can send you if you want to jump the queue and have immediate access.

I've forgotten the exact cost but def a big chunk of money, maybe £300 for the tests and the use of the app for 4 months. I feel like a it's healed some part of me that was always following the latest fad diet and now I have a really detailed understanding of how my blood glucose responds to carbs and also my blood fat response to fatty food. And I'm on a good FB group that makes it clear that people are ready different so porridge or even toast is a good breakfast for me (with good fats and fruit or veg) but for someone else sets them on a rollercoaster for for the rest of the day. I'm glad i did it but do feel a bit guilty like i'm not getting the best of it!

SnoogyWoo · 14/01/2023 20:32

Ooo yes please.

Many thanks for this. Unfortunately I missed notification, hence late response! Apologies and thanks for taking time to respond.

Ljc53 · 15/01/2023 11:01

@texican above message meant for you but can't edit. I'm rubbish on here 🙈

texican · 19/01/2023 07:20

No probs @Ljc53 hope you get on well with it all! I'm actually really enjoying it, I feel a lot more 'nourished', like I'm eating tasty food which is good for me rather than just cutting things out mentality which feels more punitive.

@Jezzballs2000 I don't use the app loads but do use it for the scores and for trying to build and layer meals and I've found it really helpful for this (the adding food rather than removing concept). I'm less invested in the modules....!!!

How much is it? I’m on the waiting list.

I got to the front of the queue the other day. It's £270 for the test and then at least £40 a month for the app. That's with paying a few months up front.

I'm so interested in doing it but it's SOOO expensive!

Jezzballs2000 · 19/01/2023 09:42

I thought it was going to be a miracle, like how could i NOT eat perfectly when i knew exactly what was good for me. Well, errr... 😂. Turns out i probably always knew more or less but was just ignoring it. Seriously though, i'm really glad to have my microbiome, blood sugar and blood fats tested. It's made me realise that porridge IS a good breakfasts for me but as said above i need to add in more ways to get fibre and good fats to make it actually filling. The main take away i feel is that if you can hit a 30g of fibre daily (recommended amount by NHS etc) then you're definitely eating a brilliant amount of plant food and probably not that much other stuff because you can only fit so much in in a day to get that amount (it's really hard!). But i no longer demonise carbs (for me, some people have a massive glucose spike after a piece of wholemeal toast) but if I have them I should add peanut butter or humous and have veg on the side to beef it up. with some seeds!

mitcheho · 02/02/2023 18:36

Has anyone got a referral code for Zoe that they’d be happy to share please? Keen to give it a go after I finish the Six Pack Revolution in April. Thanks!

texican · 02/02/2023 19:24

Hi @mitcheho , you're welcome to use mine if you like joinzoe.mention-me.com/m/ol/cn5vr-69195df731

Enjoy!

mitcheho · 02/02/2023 19:45

Brilliant, thank you :)

DEVERO · 06/10/2023 20:57

Hi all, would anyone mind sharing a referral code for the Zoe gut microbiome test kit at all? Undiagnosed abdom issues for a year, and no answers from doctors to date, so would really like to try on this test, you never know. Thank you.
