What is this rash? Pic

For the love of god I turned 30 last week and my body is broken. Incase any of this is relevant I'll put down each ailment if someone has a magic pill I can take to fix it all.

Beginning with December, dodgy long heavy periods, pain during sex, gynae said I had a bulky uterus, stomach hard and uncomfortable, very bad smell from inside vagina mainly during periods and after but still a smell every day that is 'off'. Sti tests negative had ultrasound scan last week, still waiting to find out what is what with that.

Last week, small rash started on bum thought I'd scratched it somehow, gradually the rash has spread to both bum cheeks and my thighs. Feels like little raised pin pricks at first but then they get bigger and join up. Sore and itchy at the same time, none have popped or had anything come out. Never had a rash like it.

Few days after the rash I notice I have very strong smelling urine did a urine dip that I had at home it was positive for nitrites and protein but not leukocytes. Gp questionnaire to get AB's was rejected because my only symptoms is the smell and the amount of urine is quite a lot more than usual but no pain or burning etc. HELP. I'm taking in urine samples tomorrow (how small are the tubes now!?) but just so curious about this rash too if anyones had anything similar

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor that's the medical term for hives they do look similar from photos but my rash is very textured with blisters and raised at different levels. It's hard to get an idea unless you see it in person it's like an oh my god Shock hives lasts hours but this has been nearly two weeks and getting angrier and bigger

Maybe hives with bacterial infection?

gertrudemortimer · 31/07/2022 16:58

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor it could be but I've never noticed hives at all. It started with a small blistering rash on one side, the first photo I put up has the original 'mother' rash on it's the biggest one on the photo. That section has gotten darker and now it's purple but as it's gone on the rash has moved so starts with blisters then they merge together and turn to the purple raised blotches and I get new blisters that then do the same

This photo is from today of that same spot in photo number 1.

It looks so sore and angry! Hopefully they can give you a massive tube of something potent to get rind of it.

HSKAT · 31/07/2022 17:09

I would have said some form of Pityriasis.

Blanketpolicy · 31/07/2022 17:45

Have you been abroad recently? Could it be a parasite of some sort?

CherryRipe1 · 01/08/2022 07:52

It looks like either some form of vasculitis, purpura (henoch-schonlein maybe) or psoriasis, guttate or other. Have you had any bloodtests?

Samarie123 · 01/08/2022 09:04

There is a group I am on about vaccine injuries and a lot of people are getting this after moderna.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 01/08/2022 13:00

I know two people who had the Moderna and had rashes afterwards but nothing as bad as the OP's more like the nettle rash urticaria.

gertrudemortimer · 01/08/2022 13:14

Hi all not much of an update. I'm still waiting for the results back unfortunately. I'm going in this afternoon to have medical photographs taken.

I'm leaning more towards it been my bodies own immune response to something rather than a type of infection that causes a certain rash. That vasculitis rash stuff seems similar. It's very very purple where it first began now, I've just looked at palpable purpura which seems to be what it looks like but I don't actually have a scooby and neither does anyone else.

I am very worried about it now but I'm trying to remember I feel okay just physical ailments that are causing issue I can still work and all the rest of normal life so it can't be anything too bad.

And yes I have been abroad twice in the last couple of months, Morocco and Croatia! In Croatia I got bitten to shreds by sand flies but all of the bites healed with cream none appeared infected or anything.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 01/08/2022 13:19

That's probably worth mentioning to a medical bod.

gertrudemortimer · 01/08/2022 13:34

@MrsPelligrinoPetrichor yeah I have told all of the various doctors about recent travel and the other medical stuff I've had going on it's quite a list now. I hope I get an answer today!

Well on the plus side, your backside may make it into a medical textbook! Hope they work out soon what the cause is.

gertrudemortimer · 01/08/2022 13:42

@PragmaticWench I know! Jesus Christ, what a way to enter my 30's. Hopefully it will help someone else if they have a similar problem

Sand fly bites can cause a rash, and possibly leishmaniasis.

watermelonlipbalm · 01/08/2022 13:48

I have no advice OP but that looks SO uncomfortable!
The first pictures of the rash seemed familiar to me as my eczema flares up liek this but obviously doesn't progress as yours has doneA
Really hope you get some answers soon!

Plus, it will make a GREAT 'interesting fact about me' for work ice breakers or if you ever go on a TV quiz show and need to introduce yourself...

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 01/08/2022 19:10

Its not shingles, that only happen on one side. It looks like a Step infection rash to me. Do you have any fusidic acid cream in the house (antibiotic cream) you could apply a bit and see if it helps, if it responds oral antibiotics should help.

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 01/08/2022 19:10

Strep not step! Short for Streptococcus

gertrudemortimer · 02/08/2022 09:36

It's going down!!!!!!! I've got a few new blisters on my arm and bottom of my calf but no big eruptions yet

Wonderful news!

Scifijulai · 02/08/2022 09:52

After seeing your rash I immediately wondered if you were Coeliac? My friend has this and had a rash just like yours before she was diagnosed. I know it can cause all sorts of problems as well as infertility. The only other concerning thing is leishmaniasis which you can get from sand fly bites. Might be worth looking into if hospital has the resources to?
Good luck with it all. Hope you feel better soon.

CherryRipe1 · 02/08/2022 10:54

Great news, hope it all goes away soon.
