For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

ZippiBabes · 18/01/2008 21:22

OliviaMumsnet · 18/01/2008 21:23

Am joking about not eating vegetables!!

I have been eating plenty (though can never manage the dizzy heights of 10/10/10)

Do have shocking cravings for Twirls at the moment though.

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 21:23

Olivia, stay, do

you are the only one who appreciates my titles, I am amongst philistines who mix random slurry from the fridge and call it hummus

MrsCarrot · 18/01/2008 21:24

I didn't mention the morrissey one then thankfully Avi said she didn't get it

MrsCarrot · 18/01/2008 21:25

I have hummus in the fridge with little chick peas perched on the swirl, it loks too pretty to eat

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 21:26

OP posts:
onebatmother · 18/01/2008 21:26

I get and also love the title.

who is responsible?

MrsC sorry for aggresive stance - the offence food and bathing children was a heady mix!

Hmm - twirl.

onebatmother · 18/01/2008 21:39
MrsCarrot · 18/01/2008 21:44

Franny

er, no, though it rings a bell

Should I be ashamed?

FrayedKnot · 18/01/2008 21:45

'Tis your age, MrsC, that is the problem. You are so darned young

I may be wheezing from old age or having inhaled some pringles.

Oh F&Z, it's complicated with DSS & DSD. DSD (19) fell out with DH / us big time about 3 years ago but has recently come round and seems to want some sort of reconciliation, which is lovely. We saw her briefly at Christmas and things seemed to be on the up. No sooner does that seem more positive than DSS starts raging at DH.

It's very hard because they live 150 miles away so DH can;t just go round to see them to talk things thorugh, everything is done by phone, text, e-mail & thus lots of ignoring and cryptic texts and phones being slammed down Don;t think there are any easy answers.

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 21:52

oh dear FK. It's great that you are both trying to sort it out. I think we might need 100 to come and be Anne for us, but I would advise being steady and rock like so they can beat themselves against you without damaging you. Or something

sorry about goats I got distracted but have done it now. We do talk about goats a lot don't we? Perhaps should start different club, involving cloven hoofed animals instead of vegetables.

Boco I have got a film to lend you if you would like. But I feel shy as I love it so much; if anyone didn't love it I might have a problem with that

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 21:54

MrsC no not ashamed. It's that one that goes "i went for a walk on a winter's day....doo de doo de doodoo.....doo de dah de day doo dee dah de day got down on my knees and began to pray"

OP posts:
IdrisTheDragon · 18/01/2008 22:00

I get the title. And I am not that old. I don't think.

IdrisTheDragon · 18/01/2008 22:01

We sang it in somewhat dubious 4 part harmony at school.

MrsCarrot · 18/01/2008 22:02

DH just walked past me squinting at the screen mouthing the de doo de dahs

I get it now, phew!

I don't really like goats very much. I prefer sheep.

FrannyandZooey · 18/01/2008 22:03

I am not keen on goats or sheep if we are being honest

I like pigs, a LOT

and rabbits

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 18/01/2008 22:05

oh, yes, I would love a vietnamese pot bellied pig

IdrisTheDragon · 18/01/2008 22:07

I like sheep.

My sister likes pigs, a lot
