So after struggling with weight gain since 2020 and drinking farrrrr to much Diet Coke I have officially declared myself as a total disgrace !!! I absolutely need to shift this weight and after trying weight watchers, SlimmingWorld, keto, slim fast, you name it- i have tried it all so I'm doing good old fashioned sensible eating this time with no restrictions!!! I want to loose 3 stone and I will
Do it!!! Anyone joining me???

@Sunshineandrainbow i wouldn’t lose weight on that but have less to lose. I’d give it a few weeks and if you’re losing 1-2lb a week then it’s working. Whatever you do has to be sustainable..

Greentomatoes21 · 16/05/2022 17:53

Great to read about all the lb off so far! 😁 Weekend is so hard for me - I just do my best but I'm not as successful as I am during the week. During the week I mostly do 16:8 and 1200 cals. Seems to be working. I lost 2lb last week. Does that sound about right?

wen4567 · 18/05/2022 07:29

How is everyone doing? I had a bad weekend with eating out, a bbq and then a pub roast dinner Confused I've lost 5lb since starting 5 weeks ago so not brilliant but I guess slow and steady is better than nothing at all?

That sounds perfect - keep going you are doing amazing.

I had a bit too much to eat on Sunday but not completely off the scale.
Managing to stick to it well in the week, being at work helps!

witchywoo · 18/05/2022 08:11

👍

Greentomatoes21 · 18/05/2022 08:22

@Sunshineandraindbows I'm exactly the same, work is a great distraction! I'm at home 2 days with the kids and it's torture trying not to eat everything 😅

SergeiL · 19/05/2022 14:05

How is everyone doing. I have had a tough week for a number of reasons but have more or less stuck to 16:8 since Tuesday and mainly low carb. But a couple of glasses of wine thrown in. I am not expecting a loss this week but hoping to hold more or less steady when I weigh in tomorrow.

Fingers crossed you get a nice surprise.
What hours are you eating between?
All good here, managing to stick to my calories per day.

So as expected, I have neither lost nor gained this week. Pretty chuffed to be honest to have not gained.

I am fasting between evening meal - about 8pm - for 16 hours until I have done lunch.

I am proud I haven’t just written the week off - Monday was a tough one and then I hurt myself and have been in pain ever since. I would have typically then just given up for the week and ended up gaining.

You should be proud it is so easy to fall off the wagon after a slip up.

What's everyone's plans for today?

SergeiL · 22/05/2022 17:29

Anyone still in?

I am not fasting at weekends but still trying to make relatively healthy choices. Going well this weekend. Haven’t gained any weight - would usually gain a fair few pounds. I feel positive about the coming week but we are away for half term so trying to decide on approach so I don’t completely sabotage.

@Sunshineandrainbow i think you are still in. How goes it?

I am still in. Hope the op is okay they have not been back for a few days.

Could fasting fit in over half term?
Today has not been such a good day but I have decided from the beginning Sundays would be a bit more relaxed if I have had a good tracking week.

hi can I join please
I have put on too much weight in lockdown and wfh.
I was 14 stone but have since lost 4 pounds.
kind of doing the fasting diet so for two days a week not consecutively I dont eat anything after 7pm until tea at 5.30 pm next day
just drink water and black coffee
only be doing it for a couple of weeks. Havent found it too bad but I'm diabetic and have pcos so weight loss very slow
I would like to get down to about 11 stone so just under 3 stone to lose
will probably take me years at this rate !!
try to eat small portions and watch what I eat on non fast days

Wow that's a long fast, you do well to manage that.
Slow and steady wins the race remember that and hopefully more likely to stay off too.

SuzyQ12 · 25/05/2022 16:13

I'm still in! Stayed the same last week, and not expecting too much this week either though...

SergeiL · 25/05/2022 18:30

I am still here. I picked up an injury last week which I have been really struggling with so diet plans have gone out the window, I am just concentrating on feeling better for our week away. Still feel very positive though about getting back on plan when we are back.

Greentomatoes21 · 25/05/2022 22:30

I'm still in too! Managing to lose during the week and maintain (more or less) at weekends...I need a the odd meal off! Trying to eat no more than 1200 (but not on Saturdays 😅!)

jeffersonsam · 26/05/2022 18:14

Sunshineandrainbow · 28/05/2022 08:09

Really tough week here with sudden death of my childs friend and it has hit us like a ton of bricks. Too many sweet things have mindlessly passed my lips. But I won't give up like I have in the past.
Today will be a good day!

Greentomatoes21 · 29/05/2022 20:10

@sunshineandrainbow I'm so sorry to hear about that. How tragic. That poor family. Xxx

SuzyQ12 · 31/05/2022 08:00

@Sunshineandrainbow I'm so sorry to hear that, how awful! I hope your DC is doing as well as can be expected.

Greentomatoes21 · 31/05/2022 13:48

Anyone experiencing weight loss plateau? I lost half a stone very quickly. Now I've been teetering around the same weight for ten days or so. I'm not doing anything different and eating 1200 cals or less (usually) so definitely in calorie deficit daily. Have read plateauing is totally normal, just not sure how to get over the hump!?

orangetriangle · 31/05/2022 20:40

still here but starting again after bank holiday as currently unwell with chest infection lose abit put out back on again then lose again very fristrating

Sunshineandrainbow · 05/06/2022 22:11

I have tried to be mindful this weekend, birthday meal tomorow and then back on it on Tuesday as I have felt much better calorie counting and Putting it into my app.
How is everyone?

SergeiL · 07/06/2022 10:20

Right, I am back on it! Had a rough couple of weeks but determined to crack on now. Anyone else around?
