So after struggling with weight gain since 2020 and drinking farrrrr to much Diet Coke I have officially declared myself as a total disgrace !!! I absolutely need to shift this weight and after trying weight watchers, SlimmingWorld, keto, slim fast, you name it- i have tried it all so I'm doing good old fashioned sensible eating this time with no restrictions!!! I want to loose 3 stone and I will
Do it!!! Anyone joining me???

Hi, can I join please? Have 2 stone (ish) to lose and signed up with weight watchers a week ago and have lost 2.5lbs so far. I tried several other things and have realised I need the structure and 'rules' of a diet plan so fingers crossed it carries on working.

It's "lose" not "loose"!

Loose is what you want your clothes to be in a month's time.

Thanks ladies for the tips on 16:8 I’m defo going to try it in the first instance - agree that limited rules and just worrying about eating hours is appealing
I’ve got at least 4st to lose 😱

I cut my calorie intake and downloaded a fitness app. I did the fitness app most days. I also only drank water and cut out sweets and biscuits. Bought myself digital scales which linked to my phone. Upped the number of steps i did in a day even if it was just walking in my house. Took me 2 to 3 months but did shift nearly one and a half stone. DH didnt think i would do it but i did 💪🏻😁.

@Fitbachick I love a good success story! Really motivates me. I think the brighter evenings also help to get those extra steps in. I love that feeling when your tight clothes become noticeably loose and you feel a million dollar 🥰

Hi, please can I join? I need to loose about 4 stone. I'm using my fitness pal and aiming for less than 1400 calories a day. I'm a terrible snacker so it's a struggle.

Can I join too? I’ve gained two stone since March 2020 thanks to developing terrible eating and drinking habits since the first lockdown. And I’ve now got into such bad habits that everytime I start a diet, I last about 3 days then binge and put on even more weight.

I however had a bit of an epiphany on the weekend when I was meeting friends I haven’t been out with for years, and not only did barely anything in my wardrobe fit (I’ve had to buy clothes 2 sizes bigger) but the real kick in the teeth was when I went to put on my favourite knee high black boots - and they won’t zip up over my fat calves anymore. So Enough is enough.

I downloaded MFP yesterday and am doing 1200 calories per day. But my god 1200 calories does not go far 😢 Todays diet has been:

Porridge with dried apricots

Jacket potato, low sugar baked beans, broccoli and carrots

Yogurt with blueberries and strawberries

Banana

milk for tea (I drink a lot of tea)

and thats it. No calories left for dinner so I’m starving now! I am amazed at how many calories are in ‘normal’ food. I hate to think how many I was eating before!

wish me luck. Its going to work this time…

Hi! Can I join please? I put on 2 stone due to lock down then wfh. I started slimming World last week. I lost 5lbs in my first week and doing 10k steps a day. I notice I get a good weight loss when I eat a lot more (of the right foods - speed foods). If I heavily restrict my diet to low cal 1200 calories I find the weight loss slows. I lost 4 stone previously. Strange isnt it? I also cut out diet coke. Its shite for weight loss.

@marshmallowmama I don't have a solid plan, loosely trying to do 16:8, less calories and just cut out junk/takeaways. Also trying to get my 10000 steps in each day but that's hard Confused

It will be very hard to keep up with everything here but I am glad so many of us can support each other!😃
what is 16:8 fasting by the way? I dont eat after 6pm and my breakfast is at 7am which i thought is pretty long but now it doesnt seem to be😂
and which free calories counting app is the best?
so far i dont eat after 6pm as i said, eliminated soda and juices, almost all of the sweets but have one day when i allow myself little bit, and planning to do some exercises or jogging.

i have 2 stones to loose

welcome to all the new members..

Hi @marshmallowmama , @SergeiL thanks for the welcome... apologies for running away without giving any info on my plan. I just wanted to placemark before having to drive the car out of the parking lot, as my kids were screaming and everyone around was giving me looks of being 'that mother'..

So I have started Intermittent Fasting with some very slow paced jogging... 🐌i started from last week as I look horrible... I have lost about 15 kgs before with running but when I stopped, I gained it back n more.... I know if I jog or regularly exercise I tend to eat less fat more healthy...I have lost about a kg in last one week... hopefully this will continue.

Nutracheck fan here too, lost 1.5 stone in past 6 months although I don’t stress and def take the scenic route. Calories set for 1lb a week but I’m never strict enough so prob about 2 lbs in 3 weeks, but always the right direction. About 8lbs left to go, but not in a rush 😊

@AnxietyLevelMax hey Hun, so fasting 18:6 is basically eating in windows of 6 hrs then fasting ( zero calories) for 18hrs there are many different time frames you can do- I did 23:1 20:4 you basically choose what suits and eat all your calories in that time frame. Xx
