well.....if it is just a case of late ovulation due to stress, and you aren't yet pregnant, you may be now about to ovulate and get pregnant now

misdee you can have delayed af for any number of reasons.

If you've been run down that could delay ovulation which in turn would delay af.

sometimes people skip periods for no apparent reason and they return a month later

you could have had an anovulatory cycle due to illness and consequently af may not have turned up.

If you've radically changed your eating habbits/exercise regime over the past month that could have an impact.

I skipped a period nearly two years ago and I was actively ttc so convinced I was pregnant despite neg tests. Everyone on here told me I was pregnant, gp told me I was probably pregnant, I even had pregnancy simptoms and wanted to tell people I was pregnant. And mmy af arrived exactly 28 days later .

Yes it's possible to get a negative test and be pregnant, but it's more likely to have a negative test and not be pregnant.

If you haven't had a contraceptive failure then it's unlikely you are.

You could get a blood test done for hcg levels at the doctors.

Stress is a strong possibility but the most common reason for missing af is pregnancy so I would test again at the weekend and see your GP if nothing has turned up by this time next week. God luck - hope you get the result you want.

Misdee · 10/01/2008 19:05

congrats piffle.

i know the GP will put it down to stress.

SGK, didnt lisad123 even get a negative test with a blood test?

sparklygothkat · 10/01/2008 19:25

yes she did

becaroo · 10/01/2008 19:25

I have missed periods before and have never been pg.

If you havent started by your next af due date, then make an app at the docs.

(Bet you are, though!! )

Wallace · 10/01/2008 19:25

Piffle! congratulations

Misdee · 12/01/2008 21:37

its still missing.

i really dont know if i can sticvk out another two weeks just to see if i skipped a cycle, so may be at the docs next week. but i dont know if i can face being sent for a scan and nothing being there.
